is it safe to store dinos on raft houses?
i am playing solo atm and switched to raft homes since it seems like if u stay in a area for too long, your neighbors or friendly high levels that gave you free meat,,,will come back when you're logged off and raid you, will sets your progress back since u gotta regrind your gear and destroyed house.

i'm thinking about keeping a raptor inside and a weight carrying flyer on the roofs...will they clip off?

They will stay on board as long as you don't drive through anything that can clip them off, like rocks or the shield wall.

Check out an Ark you-tube player series -zuelgin-. he has like 6 rafts put together as his base will his dinos on it.

Dinos and players have a tendency to clip through walls/floors when offline I wouldn't risk it personally. Lost a mammoth that clipped through a raft and was pushed under the map. Could also drown if its caught under the raft.

The hit/collision detection on this game is so terrible I'd say to avoid putting anything you care about near or over deep water

yes its safe. safe-ish. as safe as anywhere else, at least.

id suggest some guard for the offline times; though... like some beaver guardians to take care of any pesky wild sarco's while logged off. Keep everything else on passive; otherwise they'll go swimming too.

i've never seen those, is there some other lower lvl alternate? like turtles or something?

turtles would work; however they are a bit slow and more of Tanks; so their DPS is low. It would take even a leveled turtles a smidge more time to combat a wild sarco. It can do it, but it wont do it as fast. At least turtles are much easier tames than beavers; and obviously much easier to find.

honestly, if you plan on being out In the open sea then you wont have any land fairing Dino's to watch out for. Sarco's only spawn in the swamp and rivers; ive never seen one out In the ocean areas.

out in the open ocean; other players are your real only true threat. 8/

a-holes love to sink boats; so be careful 8/

ah so i have no worries vs sacros, and i sorta have taken some steps such as fully enclosing boat, wooden spikes at top, sealing drive stick when i logoff, making a 1x1x1 saferoom(1 dummy saferoom) and hopefully i'll manage to tame a speedy shark or something once i start on mining metal soon.
