Anyone had any luck finding Dung Beetles?
I cannot seem to find any, I've searched the majority of caves and I can't seem to find any.

Most caves had little/no mobs in them

The snow biome cave made me fall through the floor and killed my prized Ptera😔😖😖😖 (myself and I lost an argy egg)

What kind of server are you on? If you are playing singleplayer, caves have been...strange. Respawn does not seem to work very well.

I have gotten all of my beetles from the lower south cave.

If you're playing single player, the lower south cave is the best place to find them.

Hmmm, I am on single player...
But my base is closest to the lower south cave, so that was the one I used mostly, I took a trip of Raptors in and it was a nightmare they all got stuck 😂 I might just take a sabre or a direwolf

But the raptor attempt only two titanboa's spawned hahah I'm struggling to find little dungy's
for some reason ♥♥♥♥ doesn't spawn in caves on singleplayer but spawns fine everywhere else. just use admin commands and bring some into the game if you wanna tame em

Not a bad shout! I haven't used a single command yet, just taken it as it comes, I might spawn two in but count how many resources it takes to tame them and double it and remove that amount as a penalty if you get me - just to make it a little less cheaty hahaha

Caves for days, I've found them in the chitin cave on the east side of the volcano.

In single player you're probably hitting the dino spawn cap on the surface which will limit the spawns in the caves since they aren't always loaded. You could try the command "cheat destroywilddinos" while inside the cave and that should repopulate the cave. Might want to wait a few minutes before heading down to allow the spawns to complete.

My clan has tamed two from the cave next to the volcano. I have seen more in the southern cave, but since I don't have dinos I can take in near there I die a lot. I'll probably bring a wolf from our north base in.

Yeah, only way to get them in single player is to admin command spawn them in. Caves are borked.
Only resource needed to tame them is poop. The bigger the better so go wild bronto hunting and scoop that poop!

This works really well too, especially in the lower south cave. Just beware it's a ♥♥♥♥♥ to get them out of the cave because of how tight some of the twists, turns, and curves are. If you're using mods, I highly recommend using Stargate Atlantis to build a Stargate from your base to the center of the cave and take them back that way.

or do it in the one cave you can bring an argie into (I usually build a taming pen outside it... fly the argie in snag a couple... tame them, then bring them all back on a quetz)
