Do NOT buy ARK: Survival Ascended!

Do not buy this ascended pack.... as a veteran player with over 6k hours this is by far since the start of this game the scummiest thing ive seen them do.... Delays are delays but forcing people to buy something they said was gonna be free?..... Just plain SCUMMY!

I was going to buy Ark2+ASA however, I am now going to support the community by refusing to do so unless they make big changes to the announced shafting of the community who has stuck with the game for years.

i will probably don't buy it too because "WHY" should i buy a game that i already "OWN" with all DLC where i payed already "FULL PRICE" for only to get the "SAME" game for a "NEW FULL PRICE" just with better grafics and probably same bugs and the most treacherous thing they do is selling all maps again in seperate packs so if you wanna buy the game where you already buyed everything you should pay again 90€/$…

I might buy it in a couple of years in a sale, but if they think I'm going to preorder a game that has no information other than "This is a very different from Ark and you may not like it", at full price, with an 18 month delay, when I'm going to get that game FREE anyway through Gamepass - then honestly I think they must be smoking crack

It's definitely scummy that they said it would be free, and now they are going to charge for it..I completely agree. Yet all the people that post on steam , reddit and the Official Ark forums are but a tiny percentage of all the people who play the Game and love it.

..and the reality will be ..TONS of people will buy it..nothing can stop this, and I'd wager a good majority of those complaining will end up buying it too..always happens.

As someone with about 9,000 hours and still going I WILL be buying the ASA once I'm able to....I even have plans to move over if its good. Although I might hit the 10,000 hours mark before then. Who knows *Shrugs*

Just some things I curiously want to ask. Some of the below may or may not be applicable to you but I am curious regarding the specifics for you:

1. In your mind was Ark 1 delivered as promised?

2. Per point 1, If not, what wasnt?

3. What specifically is it that you're expecting Ascended to deliver as promised?

4. If you cited anything from point 2 and they're part of your expectations for point 3, what makes you feel that assurances they'll be delivered as promised for Ascended will come about?

Yeah, not buying it either. Too many times they've given the middle finger to their player base. Too much broken ♥♥♥♥, while they push out 'new' content, then overly rely on the modding community to fix their trash.

I don't know. I think having it be a separate thing might actually be better. That way the current one doesn't get ruined if it's bad and also doesn't have basically ALL its mods broken. Even the ones that had been kind of update proof prior. I bought Ark because it looked so fun to mod and I was a little worried about the move being something that would break so many things I like.

The real insult is really the premature assumtion that the fans will move so they already have plans to drop the current ark's official servers. I'm a single player person so that doesn't affect me but I do think it's not the smartest business choice to try to push the fans to the new thing rather then keeping a small amount of support for the old so they don't feel pushed. Cut back on some of the officials to have those resources for ascended but leave a few for the current version is what I would suggest.

If they gave a large discount to folks who own the game already (leaving full price for people who are totally new buyers) and kept servers up for this version that would be fine by me.

Though the buy discount amount would vary depending on how actually different acended is.

Will I buy it? Not when it first comes out. It and ark two I will wait to see what it's like before having any intrist. I bought this ark because of Play as dino mod and other similar things. I'm a picky person with spesific tastes when it comes to games.
