Cross platform between PC and PS5

Are there plans to ever mark Ark cross platform? I know Ark 2 is coming out, but my GFs best friend got her into it on the PS5 and she's trying to get me to play with her on their server. Everywhere I've looked tells me it's not cross platform. Is there ever any chance of this? Or has this been put to the side to get ready for Ark 2?

This ARK is only cross platform in the following option:

Steam and Epic (Dedicated server only and no mods with crossplay enabled),
Win10 version and Xbox.

That is it, PS4, PS5 is NOT cross platform with anything.

With that said, the remastered version (ASA, not ARK2) has been announced that it will be crossplay across all platforms, will it happen ?
We will see.
No idea if ARK 2 will be.

Generally, the only things preventing crossplay are the owners of each platform refusing to allow it.

Technically, it's a non-problem. They've even accidentally turned on cross play in some games, and then quickly shut it down.

Playstation is very insistent on not allowing cross play. Fortnite was one of the few games where they caved, after the developers of fortnite just stated that they were fine with cutting playstation out entirely. Playstation stonewalled, and then they caved in after a bit. They didn't want to miss out on all that cash being sucked out of the wallets of parents.
