Terrible advice.... official servers are trash...
this post took less than 10 minutes to make.... it is not my fault you demonstrate a lack of attention span to focus on something for so long. yes it may be unheard of by you for an individual to put mere minutes into a post and link a video.. clown.
So I would guess more people just didn't care than doubted it happened. Snail will never recover the thousands of daily players they lost because of their decisions. Unless we see in update notes an apology, but too little too late would be the result; which could cause them greater backlash. Snail is just moving on like it never happened; which could further prove they could care less and that they just wanted it to be over with. What is most odd is Snail Games didn't even explain anything to their players...shocking actually! This is why the "they don't care" thought is the most popular resolution. This makes sense because if you truly valued something you would defend it. Especially something that directly attacks your company's reputation that will effect future sales of new games that Snail is involved in.
I mostly play single-player, saved games with friends and friends servers so I was not directly affected at all by this, but I do realize how bad this is at least. This was already over though like 1.5-2 months ago... It was hot for like a week or two and that was about it...
My decision for ASA will be made by what game-play changes/improvements and bug fixes that are able to do with the new build of the game. The newer graphics while nice aren't a deciding factor for me at all. I am currently still leaning towards purchasing ASA but I am going to wait for some game-play footage/reviews from some of the streamers before I make my final decision.
Snail own's WC.. so what Snail says ultimately goes.
That's why so many of us desperately want WC to find a way to escape from Snail Games before WC gets dragged down by that dying, toxic publisher.
All we can do as ARK fans is boycott the official servers completely, let them die like they deserve to and gatekeep the hell out of un-officials to ensure that the problematic individuals/tribes that work for Snail are unable to play on them and are effectively ostracised from the ARK community like they deserve to be.
Snail may control WC.
And WC may control the official servers.
But we the players make up the ARK community, and if we unanimously agree to boycott the official servers, refuse to participate in financially supporting Snail Games products and gatekeep un-official servers to keep Snail Games and it's employee's out then we ultimately win and there's sod all Snail Games can do about it.
The hard part is getting the community on board though, Boycotts are not easy to organise but if recent years have proven anything it's that when they do get going, they are absolutely devastating to the companies being targeted.
I don't think this battle will be fought in ASE though, maybe ASA.. but that'll depend on a lot of factors and of course how many people will participate.
But you care about ARK, truly care about this IP then you should at the very least participate in the boycott of official servers.
pretty much this, I suppose I may have been tough on that point but I would at-least want to see them acknowledge this behavior isn't their own but rather snails, for those of you playing on private servers then good on you, you don't have to deal with the bs on officials. I do agree that some sort of boycott needs to take place for ASA and it may not even happen but maybe if enough people hear about this bs just maybe the devs will acknowledge us rather than ignore us. and a actually decent post rather than the guy i was responding to from the above.

To those of you that only know how to hate, take your hate else where. Ark has survived you now for almost 10 long years and it will remain in the top 50 games on Steam long after you give up on swaying the community as a whole.
Ark is a great game, for the studios first it is a Great game. They will go on to make Ark 2 and if you do not like that simply STOP COMING IN HERE. No one will be forced to buy anything they do not want. If you do not support WC or SG then so what no one cares.
At the end of the day Haters are people miserable with their lives, so much so they wish to spread that misery. This post has been done a 1,000 times and Ark is still a top game.
I do have to say the funniest part of the haters is when Ark went retail at was it $49? OMG the screaming about how unfair that is. What is the price today when not on sale? $19.99. Yeah this is a greedy company. How many AAA games came down in price like that? GTA 5? Nope still $60. AC Valhalla? Nope. AAA games will continue to charge their stupid prices no one hates on them. Why? They will ban you 100% from their game and not care. WC should but has not done this. Perhaps one day you haters will push them to do it. Maybe one day.
Until then I am buying Ark 2 likely on day one as I did Ark. As for th Unreal 5 version I am waiting to see what it is. All I ever find here is hate for WC and SG with No Actual PROOF only opinions. Do haters think the opinion of a Kid on YouTube means that much? If so that is silly. Those people get paid to do as they do just like the Media today.
Now people have something else to read and think about. Something more POSITIVE then the OP. I know haters will report this post but there is nothing in it that violates rules so oh well. Not to mention I rarely go into the forums so action against my account would mean little.

the fact that this game has been going on for almost a decade now is the problem. i'll respond to this post and the above two but here is the main issue with what you and corbae mentions and as to give you two grace on the topic i'll make it clear
Snail games a game publisher is meddling with their own IP, their ONLY succesful IP for reasons that make no sense. rather than focus on the money aspect of improving the game and reaching out and patching glitches and rightfully dealing with cheaters they go ahead an capitalize on it by allowing even encouraging these exploits and doing it themselves.
for you to say it is a great game is laughable and just shows what kind of reception I can start to expect with this thread now that the people with actual substance to the conversation have long gone. It WAS once a good game with the simplicity of its a dinosaur game though it was always more than that even the map showed with the obelisk and implants.
now back to what I was going on about.

I promise you that if even a fraction of this was to come true WC would be bankrupt and down the drain faster than a new NSFW game posted on steams trending its not even funny. as a previous poster above mentioned WC has their hands tied given that its their publisher but even that doesn't absolve them of all the fault of this game continuing for this long. its laughable.
my main problem is that people who speak on these issues just get drowned out and told to move on to a different game or not to play at all but you are missing the point here. If this was the attitude for all games than nothing would improve, Even the aforementioned "Triple A" these companies were forced to change because of their backlash and the literal sexual assault of female employees at blizzard. No, I am not saying Ark is experiencing this work place environment but rather sharing these traits with those of horrible decisions and publisher choices with those companies as a game and as a whole.
Its really up there with blizzard and activision in all honesty with business practices, were any of this to be for money you would think the game would be rolling out patches and the like for meshing and cheaters but you will be wrong. Instead what they give you is Ark Ascendant the same game on a different engine. Foolishness and they slap a 50 dollar price tag wont be surprised if they change it to a 60 dollar price tag.

You are an absolute clown you somehow seem to completely skip over the video i had just posted and glossed over the fact this game is already on a downward spiral and is going to be trashed for good this time. Even going so far as to say "HOD a middling youtuber" when he is responsible for having the devs implement better meshing detection against the cheaters. theres really nothing to say here as Corbae can't utilize his frontal lobe properly to look at a mere video and even look at the contributions that HOD has forwarded to the Ark community as a whole.
There won't be a good release of ARK 2 with already delays happening AHEAD of time being pushed to 2024 and to top it all off its not even going to feel like ark being told it will have dark souls like combat. Who asked for this better yet what kind of joke was it to make that?
at this rate Ark 2 would just be a flop.
This isn't to say i'm just here to moan about this overall cancer of this game, I have even made a thread about this very same topic only to get my thread deleted and a mute plus warning for this topic which proves my above point WC is very aware of Snails issue and are merely allowing it to happen while quietly but very sternly managing those who have something to say. This game needs help, and I believe a good first step would be for WC themselves to acknowledge this issue with their publisher instead of taking it up the A--.
and to this last one unrelated to the above two posts. "Your thread deserves so many clown awards. Too bad I am broke to give you one :(" It seems I already have been given one. cheers. at the very least you got a laugh out of it.
I will not be seeing you in Ark 2, I already have elden ring and the entire dark souls series.

Go spend the less than two minutes it takes to read the post or don't bother it's not your college professor slapping a 220 page book down on your desk and told to give a direct analysis of it. you spend more than two minutes oogling porn anyway.
