How Do I know about events?

I play on PC through steam. Someone on my server says there is a breeding event this weekend.. but where do I find this info, I cant seem to find it listed anywhere, when and what events are happening.

On official servers, the events are posted here on steam, and at wildcard's actual forums.

If it's unofficial servers, it's whatever settings the owner wants. You can have better settings then the official events every second you play, forever, depending on what the owner set it too.

The evo events or other similar things are posted in the weekly community crunch news threads. We have a subforum dedicated specifically for those found at the right side and bottom of the subforums list.

Also you can access similar on the official website's forums, the official twitter for ark, and probably(though I've not looked) the official discord for similar.

Dont expect such every week/weekend either. While they do run almost every weekend, players erroneously come to expect its every weekend when it is not.

Also keep in mind this is primarily for official server play on the 1800ish official servers. The 80,000+ unofficial servers tend to do things differently/as they wish and may have settings enabled making such events a moot point.

Evo events are not true events.
It's literally just the official network tweaking rates in their config.

You're on single player... You can do that any time you want...

EVO events are just simply higher exp, taming, breeding, etc rates. They're meant for official server considerations primarily. If you wish to achieve this in single player, just simply adjust your personal choices of rates accordingly and whenever you wish and at any time without it simply being limited amounts nor just for a weekend.

Yeah, I have better breeding rates all the time. WAY better then any of the official events.

It's up to you what you use in your own game.

If you want help with settings, just ask. There's a lot of big brains here who can help you customize your server pretty much anyway you want.
