Rock Elemental Extinction

I run my own server with a few friends, I've been trying to find the Rock Elemental through view distance way, the only rocks that come in view, are ones that I can go through like they're not there. Im wondering if they're really Rock Elementals but glitched in some form. Cause I been going around possibly 100 times and haven't found one Rock elemental but probably like 6-10 of those Rocks

Yes, they're extremely rare though. You have a better chance to find a tek quetz than a rock elemental
