How do you REALLY find a phoenix ?

Been at it for 3 days now and nothing yet .

Yes obv i tried to carry a parasaur around but thats just nuts . i dont think anyone that recommends this actually tried it xD No way anyone covered the entire map perfectly with a para , flying or on ground , to find the ashes .

Now i only look for it during super heat and i use an owl with its heat vision , should make it easy to see .
I just want coords were people have actually found them . by mistake or not . I really did try spending entire heat waves in specific sections of the map and i covered most of it at least twice .

Oor if you have some less popular strat you think is better , could you please share ?

Its a render bug,you see the phoenix but is the pile of ashes,need build a trap over the phoenix to tame

I used a fire wyvern follow the phoenix on a heatwave day and blast it with fire until it's tamed.
It usually spawns near the red obolisk or the sand dunes or the Rocky mountains behind the red obolisk. 80% of the times it's their 15% of the time it's near the silicon pearl loop in the middle of the map 5% of the time near the corners of the map.

i know exactly how to trap and tame it . finding it is my problem i was very clear about that ^^ ty

wiki is pretty accurate on that part. they spawn all over. anyone who plays modded and has s+ transmitter with dino scanning enabled can vouch for that. without the scanner, it's a pain. though phoenix is a trophy tame, not a farmer so....

yea im on a vanilla server so its a massive pain , and thats exactly why i want it :) for my trophy/artifacts build
