Dino Mutations
First time REALLY taking breeding seriously and i have really just one question after finally figuring the mutations stacking method out. So lets day i have one fully mutated rex in health, one in stam, on in weight, and one in melee. If i breed the Health and stam together and the Weight melee together. Then im left with 2 dinos with 20/20 mutations. Can i Then go on and breed those to together to get the 4 important stats on one super dino? I Really need to know before i start trying to do that then possibly figure out its not, Thanks.

Stat inheritance is a completely separate mechanic and is independent of anything to do with mutations.

A mutation occurs. The counter goes up. The RNG stat goes up.
The counter and stat have zero on going relationship.

The counter ONLY affects the chances of getting future mutations.

Yes.
If you are on official servers though keep in mind the level cap of 450. Any dinos over that, on server restart, will disappear.

Yeah got that covered hopefully bc i took out the useless stats, but i am on singleplayer so if i need i can just change things anyways

SP isnt an issue. You can max out every stat and the dino wont disappear. Dont go over 255 in a stat though on restart it overflows and will reset.

Heard that if you hit 255 in a stat you also won't be able to apply levels in that stat when the dino has grown. Can't tell you if that's accurate though because I've never brought a dino to 255

Have heard that as well but not experienced it myself.
I stopped at 254 just in case lol

Correct. When the cap is hit, the dino's stat values revert to the ones it had initially. Sometimes this wont be seen until a restart of a server though.

Also going to confirm this yes.
Any stat bred to 255 will not be able to be levelled up further, this is often why breeders prefer to mutate stats to 254 instead which can still be leveled up normally.

Generally I am in the camp that prefers breeding for 254 stats but I do on occasion breed a stat to 255 if I have no interest in ever levelling it anyway.

Like this girl I finished breeding last year for example..
Whole lot of time and work for a pun XD but so worth it.

Hehe, yeah you can get some crazy creatures when you breed their stats all the way up like that.
Wyverns if I recall have a base health of nearly 60k with 254 Health stat.
Steggos can easily reach into the hundreds of thousands if you max their health out and level it.

Yeah I used to have a Voidwyrm line that could easily clear 200k health

Oh nice, they can get that high?

I have bred Voidwyrms as well, only 4 stats maxed out though but i've never tried levelling their health past 60k, felt more worth while to do melee and occasionally weight.

For the most part I bred them for their looks though as I play on a PvE cluster.
The past year i've been playing around with breeding Gold or Gold and Black Tek Dinos so I loved the idea of a Golden Voidwyrm and had to go for one.
Ended up doing 3 different colours on them.
Gold/Black, Gold/Silver-White and Full Gold.

VERY tasteful looking Voidwyrms

I only have this image of my Voidwyrms, unfortunately I moved servers and this image was before I finalised the line. Still think it looks pretty sick for what it is.
