Only see EU servers on ark
I want to play ark but all the servers are eu. I have been trying to find a way to change the region, but no luck. at the top of my screen it says if i want to start my own eu server. so im inclined to think i may have the eu only version of ark but nothing on the reciept or on the page in my library says anything about eu only. What can i do to fix seeing other regions servers?

If you've already verified the integrity of local game files for it to pick up any server list dynamic changes and still see only EU then:

1. Make sure you've not erroneously clicked anything that would be showing EU only. This can include tabs in the server selection screen.
2. If servers are down in a region, you'll of course not see them.
3. If you have some sort of restrictions for server access by your ISP that also may be an issue.

4. The in game server search/list is unable to to comprehensively list all 1800ish unofficial servers available and the 70,000+ unofficial servers available. It pares it down (as memory serves) to 1000 in search/listing.

There is only one search system that is able to comprehensively list all the above mentioned servers and that is the Battlemetrics website(google it). It also has a robust server search system and give individual statistics pages for each server. If a server is listed in red on there of course it means it down for what ever reason too.

You can use the connection boostrap on that site to connect to servers(just make sure for the best chances to connect that you're already in game and on the server list screen.

Alternatively you can copy the server address in your steam-view-servers- then clicking the add server tab and then manually connecting after that/favoriting.

Yeah... if you used battlemetrics website and couldn't see the 70,000+ servers listed on there for Ark and used it filters to select EU servers, that's exceedingly strange.

Good luck to you.

There is NO filter in the game menu to list EU, I dont know what you were looking at lol. They guy meant he is searching for a server, he didnt have a server in mind. He wants to browse servers IN his region but is unable to.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
