So How Will We Tame the Manta?

Like what will it eat, and what will we tame it with? I'm just a bit curious and all considering it's a filter feeder.

Probably meat, I mean frogs eat bugs but you give them meat.

The dossier suggests the 'manta' is actually a hybrid between a saltwater and freshwater ray. Freshwater rays usually eat fish and invertebrates, so maybe this hybrid picked up that trait?

It doesn't make all that much sense, but ARK has always been pretty heavy on the artistic license.

I think it will be meat i don't know about knocking it out though it might just be a passive tame but with thise dino i think it will be easy just lureing him into a box if passive tame.

I'm assuming meat or maybe they'll want Kairuku kibble like the Angler likes? Or heck if they build up more on the shrimp thingies they just released (I'm not gonna attempt to spell that name), we could use something from them to passive or force tame the mantas?

It probably will be meat. It might be a passive tame because the dossier says that it is docile till provoked.

Use black pearls to tame a manta, thats probably not going to happen, I believe mantas will spawn on the ocean surface, eat meat from ichthyornis (When released) and ichthyosaurus. They will probably not be passive tamed because in the basilosaurus dossier mantas protect rhe basilosaurus while you are passive taming it they will attack you. So they are probably aggressive so no paasive tame.

That's way different because if frogs were that big in real life they would eat deer, large rodents and birds. In nature the beelzebufo ate lots of things other than bugs. The manta is a completely different system because they are filter feeders

Anyhow, should be meat / prime. the Dossier suggests it's diet being a carnivore. Thus meat should be secondary food, kibble no idea. Will have to wait and see as |ZBGB|Scipizoa pointed out

It might be a kibble only tame or there might be a special place able item that collects krill over time that can be turned into a filter feeder specific kibble

tbh i wish they'd stop releasing sea creatures until they implement the different types of meat into the game, it just seems to easy to tame things given theres only two real food sources, other then the oviraptor and roo which imo were spot on with changing up the taming game alittle bit.
