Wow! Just wow!
So, I've been playing on the same unofficial Ark server for some time now, and I get a message from the admin that I've been "griefing" other players. The server is PvPvE, and apparently me killing other players (the PvP part) is "ruining their fun". What?!?! I'm just playing within the game's mechanics. The biggest piss about all this is that I solo play the game, and the crybabies that are complaining about me consist of two tribes. I'm just by myself, and they complain?!?! Are they that scared to attack/defend? Unbelievable!

Sorry everyone. I just had to come on here and vent.

One of the nice things about unofficial servers is they often have admins who are active and care about the health of their servers. Server populations drop if they are overtaken by griefers, and naturally if you own a server you want lots of happy players on it.

You should switch to an unofficial server where there are no admins and no one cares about server pop.

You're probably right, but with no server rules posted anywhere maybe I'm just naive to the entire PvPvE culture or its universal standard/rules of conduct (is there one?)

Anywho, are you sure there wasn't rules in place by the admin about days you can 'kill' players on this so called lolzPvPvE server? Maybe PvP'ing is only allowed when its a full moon or something.

I would think that any server rules would be in the MOTD, but none exists. So the first and only time I was informed about my play style not being welcomed was when the admin messaged me.

I have a hunch that when I get raided and/or killed all will be ok. But if I return the action, I'll be subjected to a scolding by the admin. Who knows, maybe one of them IS the server admin. Good grief! (no pun intended).

A lot of players have a very odd view of PvP in this game. Killing a player on a PvP server should not be classed as griefing IMO EVER unless you're spawn camping them, which you can't in this game anyway.
I don't disagree that if there is rules in place on an Unofficial server you should follow them, but, it helps to know what the rules are.

Find another server, that's what I'd do. Maybe the official ones that reset and have x 2/3 are a better PvP option. (I don't know what they're called :/)

Add me to steam if you like I run a server and I dont care if you kill people. You have to remember that kids get mommies credit card and run their own server. Then their baby friends get in there soon others invade and it becomes a ♥♥♥♥♥ server. I have 2 years experience running game servers. I run my server based on what the server population wants. Populating a server is not easy when it is as simple to run as Ark. Too many kids doing it leaving so many empty servers....
