Character Customization, re-make character

Quite awhile ago I read that Ark Devs where working on more in depth character customization. Although whenever I look at the future to come updates it is never implemented in. Would be nice to have a Blue print / recipe for re-making the look of your character. Barber shop recipe or something. Does anyone know if the Devs are still working on this??

I hear ya, More facial hair, Well any hair for that matter.... More clothing to find, hats, etc. Something that will make our characters unique. At least let me paint myself :( dont like how only a friend can do it for me

Any new word on this topic from the devs? Just started this game and yeah...the game is great but there really is no customization at all. Kind of a let down

My best guess is that some mod will allow that. Thats what the modding community did in fallout and Elder Scrolls.

At least we will be getting some character creation love some time this summer

Ye, but that was only possible because Skyrims/FO4's Creation Engine allowed it. Does not mean every other game engine does the same. It it was also only possible thanks to SKSE. Personally, I'd love to have some kind of Racemenu 3 or Enhanced Character Edit from Skyrim in Ark. But I don't think the engine will allow it. Maybe custom Sliders and Face Morphs tho. I loved to do that on Sims 3. And it's pretty easy if you know how to handle 3D Software like Blender or 3ds max.

With all the current MMO's seemingly competing for the most extensive/elaborate character customisation element, ARK is greatly lacking.
However, I think they are more focussing on ARK II than on the current ARK expansions/options to implement.

I'm hoping ARK II will give us all the good things of ARK:SE, and a lot more.
Proper character customisation is definately one of them. It's a big pity that we all look like the same toy soldier in such a beautiful virtual world.

I wouldn't mind some faces to choose from.
Ear shapes. Chin shapes. Eye shapes. Bodyshapes. Skintones I won't complain too much about, nor hair color.

Also, work on the dyes. I'd like my guy to have a tattoo that's -visible-

1. Silly to necro a 4+ year old thread to add rather moot points.
2. We have an Ark 2 mega thread stickied at the top of the forums.
3. There are mods you can use to alter your character's appearance. Use that if it is of importance to you.
