Can you mate a tek rex with a reg rex?

I just got my hands on a Tek rex (male) and a female rex both really high level. Can I breed them? Will it come out as one or the other or some weird half cyborg?

I would assume not, but everything else about the tek rex acts just like a normal one, just a special skin...so figured I'd check.

Tek Rex can be mated with Tek Rex only, and Rex with Rex only.
