Cooked Meats/Jerky Doesn't Give Health
Is this a bug for my character or did a patch make a change? When I eat cooked meats/jerky I don't regenerate health any faster. Playing single player, no mods.

Tried cooked fish, berries, and raw meats - same, no health gain.

Cooked meat dont make HP regen faster. It gives food regen that makes HP regen.
If you are hungry HP will not regenerate. If you need HP regeration faster make Healing Potions...

Cooked meat does give health (+10 I think) and was working as of today that I noticed. Berries never gave health only food, and havent eaten jerky or fish for some time so wont comment there.

That's what I thought, for some reason though when I eat cooked meat, I gain zero health. This just happened recently (although I haven't played for awhile).

Cooked meat heals only if you are hungry, when your stomach is full it won't give any hp.

Enduro Stew doesn't seem to be working either. Used to be able to survive in the cold with it, but now health just continues to go down.

For the Enduro Stew, it only increases your cold resist (hypothermic insulation) by an amount. if the extra cold resist on top of your gear and fortitude and possible nearby fires still is too low, you will still lose HP because of the cold.
It doesn't make you immune to cold, but it makes you more resistant.

For the cooked meat problem OP had, I back up Yergius' post stating that food only heals the player if you are hungry. if your food bar is full, it will not heal.

Asbelix,

You're thinking of Fria Curry. Enduro Stew increases your HP at 1.2% per second. It has always worked in the cold to keep me alive in the past. Fria Curry increases your insulation, not Enduro Stew.

Oh, I stand corrected.
Possibly the damage from the environment is higher than what enduro stew gives?
considering the environment damage is a constant, rather than a percentage of max health?
Not sure then.

environment damage (hypothermia) depends on the temperature of the environment (duh!), so you will receive less damage at -15C compared to -30C assuming all other factors remain the same (insulation, food, gear etc.).

Or rather the higher difference between temperature and your temperature threshhold - the more severe will be effect.

Possibly I wrongly formulated, but I meant that for a certain situation the damage is a time-constant. (I did not mean complete invariant, as it obviously is as you pointed out); it is not based on max health, as the enduro stew is.
Therefore, it may be that if you're in -20 environment, the time-constant environmental damage will exceed the 1.2% regeneration of the enduro stew.
