which is bigger, origanal map or center ?

played a little center and it seems to me that the old map/world is way bigger. Just thought i read somewhere that center was twice as big ?

Its a lot bigger than original map especially when you take the underground world into account and apparantly next update is going to add the red wood area and make it 50% bigger

the center is bigger (around 40%) and runs a little better but has not so good graphics due the use of some -sm4 features

Center is bigger.

Only downside is a lot of the dino spawns have been screwed up since the Redwood update, but, the maker of the Center is working on adding the redwood biome and fixing the spawns currently.

Right now i would say The Island is bigger land wise. The Center is mostly water.

sense of distance gets screwed up when your flying try getting a land critter and running around both maps remember on center map theres a lot of land behind the green obelisk

Yeah I agree. I think it's mainly because Island is one large landmass, whereas Center has a lot of water. Hard to say though.

wont mean the land mass itself will be the map boundaries just quoting patch notes with that one but watched evilmrfrank's stream and red wood biome hes working on for center is massive he says its going to be the biggest biome on map the update will also include more cave systems for the map as well

the Center Map is already larger than the Island, not even counting the Immense cave system and underground sub-level which is about 1/3 the surface map size.

Also, on the 28th of this month we are getting a massive update with more caves, more ways to get to the center of the earth, and aprox +50% total mapsize addition with the Redwood biome.

That makes total surface area after the 28th about 3x the total size of the island when added up.
