Cannot see my server - Nitrado or the Game?

I recently rented an ARC server from Nitrado.

First, the service seems good, although at the moment there are only 2 of us playing on it.

The problem.
Neither of us can see the server in the Official or Unofficial listings within the game.

Nitrado state this is an issue with the game, not with them.

Found a comment in another discussion and they said.

We can get access to the server but we have to manually add the server using help from Nitrado's website...

This of course is a pain, as I would like people to simple connect via the game.

Anyone know if this is really a fault with the game or perhaps with something else?

Top of your Steam library you see View? click that then servers add to fav then enter your server IP enjoy!!!
Suggest the end of the month you copy over you save file to your computer and find a company that does not have a rep for being garbage. I have known many that have had Host Havoc and never reported issues that you are having. Their servers start at less than 20USD

There are over 30k unofficial servers, The in-game list only ever has a small selection of them (about 2-4k)
The ones they do have are base partly by rank and some by random. A unofficial server with only 2 players... may never get in the list.

P.S. Nitrado has a bad rep for this game, I recommend finding another provider or find an existing server that has the setup you like and play on that.

If you still can cancel the sub, I have heard allot of bad things about that host, we just hosted a server at aurvivservers. Haven't seen a problem but we just started

Thanks guys, it seems it is the game itself then that has a problem with showing all the servers.

A shame but nothing I can do about it.

As for Nitrado.
So far, for less than 9 pounds for 30 days and for 10 slots (3 of us now playing), it seems ok. At least ok enough to give the game a try on a persistant server. Their set up was fast, has all the admin I need and it runs fairly smooth with only a second long hang every time there is a server save (I set it for every 30 mins).

Also I could choose a variety of locations of which the UK was one.
20-50 ping. Nice.

Not bad for the money.

The naming for ARK server is a bit screwy also. If you put spaces in the name it will sometimes change the name to ARKServer1284958 (random number, not that exactly). Not sure why this happens. I wonder if that is something that might have happened if you can't find it by name.

Maybe it's ark or it is the host, try to contact them

It is the game itself, not the host.

nitrado is crap servers have lag/discos support doesnt exist, i changed after 1 day to my current hoster and there my server runs for 1 year now, and i also have auotmod update via my hoster so i dont even need to copy modfiles. 15 slots 90 days 33€

Have only heard crappy things about them, luckely we didn't host there, we host at survival servers. Auto update mods and ark :D

Hello Daywalker, may I ask who you use.
33 euros sounds good for 15 people, especially if reliable.
And does your server appear in the the game listings?

im with g-portal about the listing i think yes because there are players on the server i dont know, ands i dont advertise
