DLSS ?

Why was ASE with DLSS announced as a RTX launch title when it never actually appeared. DLSS is now up to 2.0 and far easier to implement and still not implemented in Ark?

The community raves on how good DLSS has become and not a peep. Hopefully Nvidia never trusts Studio Wildcard again.

DLSS2.0 is amazing and would be a great option, especially in a game like this where it doesn't run all that well.

yeah, DLSS is now much improved from its initial release. It's just funny that ARK was in the launch title but we didn't get it even now lol

It blows me away that a post on how much DLSS 2.0 has improved and was OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED by WildCard in 2018 would attract a moron troll. If they would just live up to the announcement Ark would benefit dramatically.

You are absolutely right. Thing is DLSS 2.0 no longer even requires the unique game training and in theory WC could easily benefit us all with this.

Why?.... because this community.... the Ark community... has *NOT* been beating down the doors raving about DLSS.

I dont dispute the pretty things DLSS does.... i just dont think Arks community cares about it more then long standing bug fixes..... and since bug fixes for long standing bugs have been slow af since day one.... DLSS might still be on the agenda..... but waaaaaay down the bottom of the last page, of the last volume of WCs "Things To Do".

You call it trolling (in spite of this being a whine thread)

Huh? Low frame rate is among the most common complaints. In fact it's arguably the MOST common complaint.

DLSS 2.0 provides high quality at a higher frame rate AND now would require very little effort on the part of WC.

WC also officially announced support for it nearly 2 YEARS ago.

most of those complaints come from people who have potato pc's and DLSS isn't going to benefit them at all. you can't use DLSS on anything other than Nvidias latest gpu line. pretty much anyone who has one of those cards isn't complaining about fps.. sure the game is a few years old now but it still requires higher end hardware to run it well.

I have a 2080ti with an i9 9900k and even I would benefit from DLSS on Ark. Playing in 4k is a non-starter even on my maxed out rig as I have to reduce everything down to dirt to achieve even a low fps.

DLSS would benefit a huge number of people on Ark and even Atlas for that matter.
