Changing Event

So I set my cluster on Fear Evolved and we DONT get the Dodowyvern/rex to spawn. Why is that so

The ActiveEvent system was removed from the game to help with console memory overhead, as such we no longer get events unless WC is running them, when Easter ends we'll get another patch to remove it until the next event rolls around and we get patched again.

As a PC gamer you should be used to getting screwed over because of consoles.. That's what happens when devs make a game so ambitious they have to cut it down for the controller fondlers..

That's disgusting! It worked fine before Genesis and after Valguero! Why remove a running system cuz of some console kids who aren't even the Majority of the people who play ark?!

So, now we cant change the events of our servers? I was searching a way to start the genesis chronicles on my server.

Try it out for yourself. You cant activate any other event right now! I try'd Fear evolved and it didnt triggered at all!

A pheasant is a bird and it's no one's fault except WCs for cramming too much into the same game for 5 years and not having a well thought out plan. It's bloated. Consoles can't handle that. Consoles have had their limits since the game was designed. Should've been planed for. It wasn't. WC's fault.

They've handled it so far by splitting everything up into different maps but eventually even that isn't enough and the game is going to bloat until it doesn't even work anymore, and for many, it doesn't work anymore, so that's already happening. So now the only option is removing stuff they added so they can cram more in.

Oh and which guys do flame about perfomance issues on consoles? RIGHT! The players on those consoles! It worked all fine for me and both of my servers and those populations UNTIL they dropp'd such stupid update which removed the ActiveEvent=Fear Evolved line!!!

Edit: So dont defend those lowclass warrio---oh wait wrong forum. Dont defend console players, if there cant afford a proper PC to play Ark!

Unless you are new, this has been Wildcards, standard reaction to almost everything. Just like the flyer nerf. It was overpowered for PvP so everyone gets it nerfed. It is because WC does not know how to program better so they just disable the feature entirely. And it is not the console player's fault either. It is a Console designers and Mfgs that decided it did not need more resources.

Hmm i have to object a bit, as far as the Easter Event goes my servers are still running it, the BunnyDodo's are still spawning, we can still crack eggs and get Chibis. So the Eventsystem is still working. But i can only tell for the Eastern Event right now, haven't tried one of the others.
And yes Servers are on V310.47

This thread was posted prior to Easter.. perhaps they left the Easter Event files in after the event concluded. But when they talked about removing the ActiveEvent system on twitter I tested it on my servers, halloween, vday, winter, summer and none of them worked although I've previously had each server running a different event concurrently.

I'll go test again since I'm not doing anything, see what happens.
