Teleport commands not working on Genesis

Hello,

a friend of me was stuck in a crevice and asked me if I (as admin) could help him. I joined my un-official dedicated Genesis server and sent some teleportation commands:

- cheat TeleportPlayerNameToMe <Playername>
- cheat TeleportPlayerIDToMe <PlayerID>

No matter what I've done, it did not work. I've tried the Player's Name, the Steam's Name, the PlayerID and the SteamID.

What helped is to kill him via "cheat KillPlayer <PlayerID>", so he could restore his goods with the mod "Personal Grave".

Any ideas why Teleportation didn't work?

Even with "showmyadminmanager" and execution of the same commands (I've seen them in the server logs and RCON console via ARK Server Manager) I could not teleport him.

The commandos are:
cheat TeleportPlayerNameToMe <Playername>
and
cheat TeleportPlayerIDToMe <PlayerID>

Playername = ingame name (names with space can be buggy, use the playerid command instead)
playerid = ingame id

f.e. grunz 123455677
cheat TeleportPlayerNameToMe grunz (all letters must be 100% correct, small and big letters incl.)
cheat TeleportPlayerIDToMe 123455677

make sure you have the correct name and id.

enter showmyadminmanager
click on the player name you want to teleport
click TeleportPlayerIDToMe
click copy player id
click execute

That's exactly what I've done, all of it, and none did work. m(

Is it possible that teleporting is in general prohibited on Genesis map?

On a server you need to use admincheat not just cheat

I'll give it a try. But if "cheat" would not work, then I have two questions:

1. Why was it possible to kill another player via "cheat" command?

2. If a command does not work, it does not show up in the log file/RCON window as echo (eg. if you forget to write "cheat" in front of the command). So the server got it, but why didn't it execute?

cheat and admincheat do exact the same. you can use cheat on servers too.

all cheats were working on genesis. i used the teleport-command on genesis ~2 weeks before.

the kill command is working but the teleport command not. this is a true problem.

can you check it again? try to use the teleportID command with the ID and the teleportNAME command with the NAME.

OT:
on our server "stuck in crevice" is no need of abusing admin commands. In 99% of all cases the player can try to mount a dino, use a climbing pick, use a grappling hook, ask an other player to grapple him out or die like a man.

Now the kill command was not working on Genesis, that's odd. My mate was just stuck again in the same crevice. I could give him organic polymer into his inventory, but due to not standing on something instead trundleing along with really high speed he could not eat it, the same with Thatch foundations unplaceable.

Trying to use KillPlayer <ID> from RCON with ASM did not work.

I gave him the admin pw so he could enable cheats on his own. Oddly, the command "cheat suicide" did not work for him! But he could use "cheat KillPlayer <ID>" along with his own ID. That's really weird.

Unfortunately, we did not try the teleport commands. But I think that it wouldn't have worked, either. Next time we got the same situation, I'll think of it.
