Steam can not find my server.

Ive been running a server for ark for the last 3 days. Yesterday I have updated some settings for the server. since then my server wont show in the server list. I have recovered the settings but i still have this problem. Rebooted serval times, check startup.sh, checked GameUserSettings.ini. Reinstall ark. Nothing helped.

Hope you guys can help me.

Your code is

./ShooterGameServer ...

There is no path , I guess it does not find the ShooterGameServer binary.
You should write

#!/bin/bash
/<PATH>/ShooterGame/Binaries/Linux/ShooterGameServer ...

Where you replace <PATH> by the corresponding path on your server.


btw I see no port in your command line, therefore it is not specified by it.

./ShooterGameServer TheCenter?listen?SessionName=PindaPanda PVP 8xRating 10xEXP?ServerPassword=xxxxxxxxx?ServerAdminPassword=xxxxxxxxx? -server -log
It may be setup in the GameUserSettings.ini though.
Maybe if you don't specify ports it will use standard ones, I haven't checked.


and try the following
./ShooterGameServer TheCenter?listen?SessionName=PindaPanda PVP 8xRating 10xEXP?ServerPassword=xxxxxxxxx?ServerAdminPassword=xxxxxxxxx?Port=27015?QueryPort=27016?RCONEnabled=True?RCONPort=32330 -server -log
And get rid of the last "?" (the one just before " -server").

and to make sure your problem is not the map (low probability) try

./ShooterGameServer TheIsland?listen?SessionName=PindaPanda PVP 8xRating 10xEXP?ServerPassword=xxxxxxxxx?ServerAdminPassword=xxxxxxxxx?Port=27015?QueryPort=27016?RCONEnabled=True?RCONPort=32330 -server -log

I tried diffrent path. this didnt work cous my arkfolder is directly at /home
removed the last ? 
added port tot he command line.
changed map.

now im getting signal 11 error.

this is what i get:

someone deleted the engine folder (of another game but still updating via steamcmd) after that it worked

Deleting Engine folder didnt help. Then i deleted appmanifest_376030.acf file in the ark/steamapps folder. Now the update runs. but when its almost done. i get 0x202 error

when i try to resume it with command:

app_update 376030 validate, it starts all over.

and ending with the same error at the end

Edit: the engine folder doesnt come back.

i had to execute the update command uptiple times , it crashed each time then it finally completed.
however each time it progressed a little further.

i have no idea regarding the deleted folder.
