That does nothing to explain my confusion, did you not even read what I asked?
I too am trying to figure out the difference. Google led me here and to other confused
posts elsewhere on the net.
NOt found a clear answer yet.
Devs are of no help here either.
I"m going to make a guess though. Both are the same, and the values one plugs in would
be same as done in Game.Ini as listed in reply above for those using server, vs SinglePlayer
such as we are doing.
I had placed the values as said in game.ini for my single player game as below
file path Config\WindowsServer\Game.ini
[/script/shootergame.shootergamemode]
ResourceNoReplenishRadiusPlayers=1
ResourceNoReplenishRadiusStructures=1
Upon launch of the game this file is blanked back to nothing a zero content file.
(single player for those of you replying in futre who can't ♥♥♥♥♥ read)
So this does not work.
So, my theory is that setting we are curious about in gameusersettings.ini taht
is phrased differently is the same thing for single player use.
Thank the devs for total failure of communication or clarification.
THis however is something we are used to after ONE YEAR of such dev behaviour.
Good luck.
Just FYI, single player game.ini is NOT at that directory. It is actually found at
Ark/ShooterGame/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor/Game.ini
and
Ark/ShooterGame/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor/GameUserSettings.ini
Also, setting it to 1 is the same as DEFAULT value... its a percentage. 0.5 would be HALF the distance. 1.5 would be a 50% INCREASE in distance.
