Ark Map Issues. help?
Okay i'm having major issues all begin with the update before the center map was made official and only esclated after that.
Random parts of the map are having errors for some reason. My computer is new, and bought for the purpose of gaming and can run ark pretty well. To put it simple i have seen other people have harder times running Ark but run it without error and while my fan does constantly run while im playing Ark it doesn't kick into over drive so i know my video card isn't fried or over heating.

Here is the issue, random parts of my ark map, which is singal player on my PC, have just randomly changed color, and the swamp for some reason has a section that is lit up like the sun in a white light.(this error first emerged in the Halloween Update) The swamp error and discoloration error while they seem diiferent are a connected error and once one is fixed the other is too.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the dicoloration error is NOT random. Each time it has occured in the same spots, does not move, nor change. It has no affect on anything but the color of the ground and the removal of ground texture,. Links to public screenshots at the bottom. Furthermore ever since the center became an official map i can not acess it anymore.

I have tried
Verifying local game cache (which has worked before with the discoloration)
waiting for an update (also worked before since this weird bug has occured repeatedly)
Uninstalling Ark and Deleteing all files and re-installing it begining fresh.

Note: it has been ruled out that the areas of discoloration or locations of future biomes. The Areas are all far too small and oddly shaped being spread throught out the entire map except the snow biome.

is your gpu driver up to date? that looks like an error caused by your gpu

i will look into that.
The computer came with windows 10 already on it so i haven't really been worried about begin outdated but its worth a shot to check

dude no matter what kind of computer you have there are driver updates for your graphics card nearly every month that fix bugs and improve performance. it's your task to install these drivers regulary if you want to play video games

well i shouldn't have to buy software every month for the system to work. It should be able to at least keep the map the correct color because reguardless if its out of date its still a working software.
Case and point my old smart phone still has a Youtube app that works totally fine even though its 5 years old and i never updated it after i bought another.

Is there any place i can safely get updated files that cost less then $30

You don't have to buy anything to update your drivers. Just head to the website for your particular GPU manufacturer and you can check to see if your drivers are up to date and download any updates from there.

And comparing device drivers to a phone app is nonsenical.

you don't need to buy a single cent for drivers... the video card manufacturers upload a new version every few weeks that support new games and much more. you NEED them if you want to play a game... now we know why your game looks strange.. your card doesn't know how to handle the game..

So i spent an hr for looking for drives from my manufacturer for free but ending up paying for it but it boils down to $3 a month so yolo
After downloading everything up to todays date and going a step forward and verifying the game cache again, i still have the same exact issue and i see no difference at all in any aspect of the game so appearently as long as you keep your drives at least partially up to date you can play and both you guys where wrong

what the hell are you talking about?

nvidia driver --> http://www.nvidia.de/Download/index.aspx?lang=de
amd driver --> http://www.nvidia.de/Download/index.aspx?lang=de

you pay NOTHING for this. whatever you bought there you got scammed.... get your money back as fast as you can and get rid of the virus or whatever you installed there. You should stick to console gaming as you clearly don't know how to maintain a PC. Of course you have the exact same issue if you can't even download the driver of the manufacturer of the video chip you are using... with such an old driver version that you're probably using right now the gpu doesn't even know what to do with most of the input it gets and just tries to render some basic stuff. don't expect this problem to get fixed if you can't even install the correct driver

I was on microsoft word.
I basically followed your comment and after getting the applications that the provide that searches my whole computer and checks for optimization.
Honestly its partnered with Microsoft, who is my provider, whos website i went through and who is partnered with McAfee. (Over 20 websites will back me up on this. I checked)

Basically i didn't get a virus i got ripped of by Microsoft word into buying there whole multipurpose application, and a year subscription for it. Seriously i got a Cleaner, optimizer, Disk Over view etc etc etc. To sum it up a whole lot of useless stuff to get stuff that is out there for free but since Microsoft wants my money they are gonna have me pay for a year subscription for a application SlimCleaner Plus, which is not a virus just at most PUP.

Some people hate the program and find it annoying in some of the actions it does, however it is legit and verified by Microsoft and several other programs. Its biggest risk is that if you use its cleaner and allow it to do its thing it may delete some junk that wasn't junk.
Is it a rip off? Pretty much, but since i know other random sites are prone to hackers and viruses and my PC literally yells ot was defined for windows 10, i figured using there approved way to Scan all my drives and updated the out of date ones was worth less then $3 a month.

Also im playing singal player so even with out dated drivers since the whole game and its graphics are on my computer, it will still work unless they drastically update the driver changing coding and the video game follows suit. Trust me i know BS and you are appearently full of it, seeing how my mother refuses to update anything and 4 years later he computer still works fine.
Just like 90% of my Ark map, which updating the GPU didn't help so please take those links and stick them up your...dang it sensored me. welp i will let you finish that thought since you are so smart

this my friend is just 100% false and you have no idea what you are talking about. a driver is the communication tool between your OS and your hardware (in this time your graphics card). Just imagine that your GPU is only understanding english and your OS is telling it what to do in Dutch. It may understand some words and does what it thinks it should do but a lot of things are just false or not detailed enough. You need to bring the communication to the same level.

this image shows how communication on a computer works. you are basically missing a complete task here. If you don't need your gpu for frequent tasks like a lot of CASUAL pc users that DONT play games do, you're 100% fine without a driver. If you want to play games, especially new games like Ark that even use a complete new engine you need to update your gpu driver regulary
