Turn off blood option?
I just got the game and i was wondering if there is turn off blood option. I think this would help with the fps and i also would rather not have blood.
This is just a yes or no question. I really don't care about why you think the blood is fine i just want to know

why would blood be turned off seriously it's a dinosaur game of course there will be blood and for fps i don't think it's blood that is causing the game isn't really optimized well yet and hopefully the devs can stop releasing new dinos and actually work on optimizing it some more to help with fps problems in the near future ..

Blood Damage Overlays in options....

I dont get Why this would improve fps since this is basically an Overlay that appears on a entity You hit And which can bleed... That Should Need Less calculation
Than The Animation when You Open a door.. Do You want an Option to remove Doors too to improve The fps?

Maybe You Should Tell us your System specs to find You some better Settings to improve your fps in general (unless You use a Potato with everything on low Settings)

So You only have a CPU that is so so Bad in Singlecore Performance And no gpu at all? How much RAM Do You have? You Should Really use The Startup Command

Okay so the blood marks can be disabled, but i can tell you that it wolnt really help performance as they are the same resolution as the rest of the textures, and its a simple texture. Basically removing that one texture would help about as much as cutting down ONE tree (per bloody dino)

I guess The Problem is his PC. AMD Bulldozer hexacore (famous for a lot of Heat, a lot of cores but Really weak singlecore performance). Ark doesnt use Many cores but You can Force it to. Also he didnt say Anything about his RAM And gpu so lets wait for These Parts. Lets just Hope he doesnt use a gt620

We all managed to survive without the blood overlays before, so I think it's possible to do without them.

Well I haven't, ARK had the blood overlay since I started playing.
I can't imagine fighting an 120 Alpha Rex or Alpha Carno without having any indication on how good im doing.

You do realize they can only do so much optimization now because they don't have all the dinos in the game? That because without all the dinos, "improved AI/behavior" and other features they can't do a comprehensive optimization sweep. They can't and shouldn't because they would spend weeks if not months working on it and it that work would have to be all done over again when they do have all the dinos and features.

The game isn't nearly finished. They have maybe 50% of the content and maybe 60-70% of the features in the game. You simply can't do comprehensive optimization. Unless you want them to pull the plug on all the rest of the content and features, do one last pass, very comprehensive optimization pass and call it good. No, that would be stupid. They need to speed up introducing dinos, then work on improved dino behavior, introduce wild dino babies and do the other features they want, THEN OPTIMIZE IT ALL!!!

Why are people turning this poor person's simple question into a troll post? Stop bashing them because of the processor or GPU they use, they asked a simple question and thus you should provide a simple answer. Yes or no and possibly where to do it.

Yes there is an option to turn it off, it's dino blood overlays in the options menu, bottom middle section of the menu, nearer to the top of the section it's in if you haven't found it yet. :] GL!

He got his answer more than 2 Hours ago. We Try to improve his fps since it seems OP doesnt have a good value Because he expects more fps with Turning blood off! We still dont Know if he Even has a gpu
