Water creature depth question... how deep does water need to be for them to pass?
I'm looking for a decent place to put my base in single player and I'm wanting to position it so that if / when I start collecting water creatures, I will be able to build an attached pen for them. The issue, though, is that I have absolutely no idea how shallow of water they can pass before getting stuck / blocked.

The three places I'm looking at currently are the peninsula at 78.5, 28, with the water pen hopefully going just to the south of it, the peninsula at 72.5, 85.5 with the pen going in the mouth of the river, and finally the rock island cove, though I would probably build my base around 84, 51.5 because I can't stand how barren the actual rock island is.

The eastern peninsula would probably be the easiest to build an attached water pen, but my favorite is the one attached to footpaw, though I think that is also the shallowest.

It depends on which kind of water creatures you want... I don't know abotu the one at 78.5/28, but ot the south-east island you can park all of them (incl. Mosasaurus) without getting stuck. At 84/51 you can't fit anything bigger than a Plesiosaur. I built behind the rock-formations there (in the ocean) and it needed hundreds of pillars and ceilings. I can post a screenshot, when I'm at home - but I don't worry about the huge amount of structures I had to craft, because now I can fit in there whatever I want (at this point I have 2 Mosas, 4 Megalodons and 1 Dunkleosteus in it, but it could hold up to 10 Mosas, I think). ;)

I'm thinking all of them since I'm playing single player solo and the point of that seems to be creating jurassic park...

I'll head out to the SE island to compare the depth of that lagoon to the ones I'm looking at. If they can all get in there and my locations are at least as deep, it seems like it should work just fine.

Here's my waterpen: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=690105840

The raft holds up a generator, a fridge and a feeding trough - if anyone wonders what's that about. ;)
What out of your menagerie can swim into the shallow part of your pen? That looks similar to the areas I'm looking at.

The Megalodons can and also the Dunkleosteus at about half way or 3/4.

But not the mosasaur? Hmm... might have to rethink my favorite spot then as its a little up the river from the ocean and I don't think any of it is deeper than the shallow part of your pen there... :\
