Direbears - What's the point of playing Ark?
Just spent months building my base and taming dinos, on level 70 (Xbox One). Along comes a spawned level 3 wild direbear and destroys everything! So, Ark developers, what's the point of spending so much time playing this game if at some random future date a direbear destroys everything? It's just like having a random nuclear attack that you cannot do anything about. Makes the game impossible to fully enjoy and seem pointless.

WOW wtf, i can't even. How is it possible that one Direbear is destroying everything you created in MONTHS!? didn't you build at least Stone? Direbears are strong, but 1. they are territorial, so you need to step on their feet to aggro them 2. with lv 3 they are no real threat, you should have had something by far meaner and bigger by that time... is you trolling?

I think it was a giga but the OP was too scared to realize.

How? When I tamed my direbear, it was level 20 and I just tanked it while I tranqed it. It didn't even hurt much.

Did you just let it beat on your thatch buildings while you hid behind a rock?

I made my base on singleplayer and it was my first time playing. I kept dying in the caves, so all my flank armor, my pike and my longneck rifle kept being lost.

Also my base was crowded and I did not want to tame it. It killed my lvl 30 bronto in an instant and all my good dinos were at the other side of the island, all my dinos were on passive because a lvl 120 bronto somehow got in my wooden base

So, how would you tame/kill a wild direbear that spawns in your base if you did not have anything you are expected to have, i had noob tools ):

even a lv1 dilo could kill all your dinos if you keep them passive............

a lv3 bear is no danger and can even killed with a weak raptor.

A bear broke stone walls and metal spikes? Surely you jest?

No. Maybe not? And I shouldn't call you Shirley.

Why you at lvl 70 still have a wood base?
Everybody at lvl15 is perfect able to kill a lvl150 wild direbear using a primitive bow.

This has to be a troll. No one, and I mean NO ONE can be stupid enough to be level 70, have a wooden base, and spent months playing the game but still be dying in caves. When I first started playing we didn't have the luxury of stone bases. It was either wood, or you better be a good metal farmer. No level 70 would have a wooden base. You tame a Doed, gather stone, upgrade to stone, and done. You're now safe from 99.99% of things in Ark.
