How do you stop a anky falling off your quetz platform
Ive seen people farming with the anky on a ramp or plantform on the top of the quetz rather than in its claws to exploit the weight issue. But when we do it. It just falls off is there a trick to stop it falling off or is it a case of fly slower/more carefully.

right, you dont want to clip the person on the anky with trees and rocks, ect. the anky has a pretty big range of attack, so you just want to get this person near enough to the nodes that they can start biting. Do note that this process requires 1 person to fly the quetz and another to ride the anky.

Yeah i know you need two people. So basicly you cant stop it falling off you just have to be a better pilot and keep more distance
Why not box it ina metal doorframe box, and set a rider on it, it shouldnt fall out this and the doorframs should let it hit stuff

it takes a lot of practice, trust me. My father-in-law usually drives due to my lack of patience. it seems to help a lot.

If farming with an ankylo on a quetzal works highly depends on the server performance. The ankylo wil almost certainly fall off in a major lag (when flying full speed), and lagging will make it much more difficult to avoid hittingg trees or anything that it might getting stuck. And having lost a ankylo with 5-10k weight in it is a real pain in the ass to get back.

We gave up on using it this way, a high weight quetzal with the anklyo in it's claws seems much more efficient to us, especially after the dino nerf where you are going to have a hard time getting more than 3-4k (valuable) weight from a single mountain, anyway. It's usualy quicker to havee several ankylos standing ready so you can fly from one mountain to the other and then just drop it at the base and take the next one.

Aw hell, I tried the Qwetz and opted for the Bronto, but I built my enclosures out of wood and the damned Anklo's will glitsch through the walls just siting there waiting, so I'll try steel because the weight allowance is awesome on Anky's. I had 9 fully loaded on the Bronto platform and lost them all to the ground before I even got to the creek.
We built a special platform build on the quetz to put the anky in a place where it won't fall unless you clip into a structure or obstacle. There should be a video of the builds out there, but since they came out with a drill head strider with saddlebags, the anky became almost obsolete.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
