So base building takes forever??
Am playing on single player and want to do something decent that looks good for my base of course but I forgot how long it takes to build a stone base that looks good and provides what I want! After hours of base building this is how far I am! LOL sure I will get there eventually but I did spawn in a few creatures which I then tamed to help but still takes ages! Then there is engram points! I am not bothering with metal but since all the drops mostly fall in the ocean I can't always get to them without tones of megas or mantas in the water attacking me! (good challenge) Then there is not to mention everytime I die my body bag completely vanishes off the map and I get there ages before 15 minutes is up! So I never get to recover my gear I always have to go back to base and make all my gear again!

But does anyone have tips on how to make it go faster without cheats?? As am trying to avoid cheats as much as possible this time as it ruins the game for me or is it just patience and playing it when I can play it! As I don't yet have the armor to go out to the snow biome yet or flak/riot armor for it! Or tranq darts/guns or the majority of the saddles! I have no idea what level we now go to either?? Anyone able to tell me please?? I am also worried I am not going to be able to unlock all the saddles etc that I need to as well with the points I have! And seeing as I rarely get to drop points :( Due to them being in bad locations for me I can't get the blueprints :(

Help please! I could really use it! I am around level 46 to 47! I couldn't stand doing all the fetching by hand that is why I spawned a beaver, doed, and quetzal! Thanks for your help

This is all I have achieved so far after many hours work!

if your on sigle player increase the harvest rate to like x3 or x4 if you arent having any fun. the game is balanced to have a team of people working on stuff togeather. especially farther in. Its not "cheating" its just rebalancing the game for solo play.

Thanks for the suggestions will check the link out and I had harvest rate increased but might increase it up to 4 instead of 3 :) Thanks for the suggestions! Guess I was just getting tired of the harvest times :) Appreciate all the help! I will get there eventually

Increase The harvest rate? If You just want to Build Try x20 for example. You have s Huge Base in no Time. It's your decision how fast You want it to be

As I do love this game! Just want to cut down building times if possible :) have greenhouses unlocked now too which is cool! Haven't yet unlocked sloped roofs! Am considering doing that next :)

Also if your willing to deal with slow movement tutles are good easy lower level pack mules. The whole trick is to maxamize your harvest trips and bring back as much as you can. also make many trips to stock up on materials befor you actually start turning them into walls and such, its a lot more fun when you get to place 20-30 walls instead of.... 3-4

trust me, me and my girlfriend are playing with x2 and its still a slow process, but as you do it youll start to get methods. this is just part of mine.

Thanks I might do that! As I do want a huge base to store all my eventuall dinos on and so I can then move on and mindwipe so I can get the engram points back from the base and start collecting dinos and blueprints etc :) and maybe add in fireplaces etc :) Thanks a heap

Lastly, consider using This Mod to cut back on the grind to get cementing paste. Trying to grind that solo is just miserible.

Thanks very much for the suggestion! Maybe I do need a pack mule! Hmm might have to look out for one! Already have some methods down! Take my beaver with thatch and wood out with my doed and then make the walls on the spot as I harvest with them! brought back 27 walls and 8 ceilings that run! When I need berries I take my steggo with my quetz as otherwise its too slow lol! My trike and parasaur are only really used these days for holding stuff at the base right now!

You can actually maximize the weight moved and minimize trips if you have them carry lightweight materials like thatch and fiber and craft walls as you harvest. The turtles carry the finished walls back which is a whole lot less weight. For example 50 stone walls is 200 weight but is over 3000 weight in raw materials.

Thanks for the suggestion will keep it in mind if I get sick of going after cementing paste! Right now I am not bothering with metal unless I find all the blueprints :) But will keep that suggestion in mind! I am camping right near the swamp (Petrified due to a real life phobia for when the leeches come out! (trying to get to a decent level and a bit of a base before they do come out!) but makes it easier to go and kill meganuras for chittern! Am also trying to get better armor at the moment too! Hoping when I get full level I will be able to get more drops! Its a lot harder now though with all the new dinos than it was when I was playing 6 months ago when my laptop carked it! But its a good challenge too as I never feel safe at the moment lol

Not in singleplayer. Fly to a beaver dam, take The hundreds of cement, Fly to The Next one And so on. On The Center You can easily collect hundreds of cement in Less than 10 minutes for example

Thanks will consider finding some turtles! I have a method where I now take out my beaver (harvests a ton more wood/minimises thatch/fibre carry weight too) And take my doed at the same time! Then I put the stuff on my beaver but unfortunately on built items the carry weight is not reduced! That was the one time I brought back like 27 foundations and 8 ceilings for the majority of what you see I have done :)
