Sadly there hasnt been a thread or discussion to answer any of these questions... i had the same issue for about 3-4 days, with constant reinstalling and verifying my files :/ from my point of view it kinda seems like it happens not long after an ark update.. and maybe fixed again wen the next update comes around, or verifying the files magicaly works one day... Im sorry i cant be much of a help, and i hope devs will read the 50 posts just like yours and come up with a fix (which is very unlikely) as they seem to concentrate on adding more corrupt and broken content into the game, and delaying to fix them before adding more... >< Good Luck and i hope it works for you.

So this game somehow overrides the default safety settings on you gpu to prevent overheating or are you another player that didn't understand what min specs or EA meant before purchasing and is making false statements?

I'm thinking the latter vs. the former.

Its not a false statement... infact its the most logical statement ive ever seen posted on ark discussions... the fact u are all blind to even blame ark devs and insted blame the community when they try to solve the problems themselfs.. its just wth :/ your comment doesnt even belong here and your simply just asking for an argument... let the community talk and help each other insted of putting a block in the way and blaming them :S its rlly no wonder we dont get new people anymore..

So you support that opinion that this game bypasses the safety features on your GPU and burns it out? Thats blaming the game devs for something that simply isn't true.

that not being logical, that's delusional or just another post by someone that tries to get the game to run on a potato and tries to complain/ claim its not their system, but the game..a game that is in ALPHA development and is prone to bugs.

You didn't read before buying either?

I had this problem my self awhile ago. What you need to do is uninstall ARK again. Then go to where the steam file is kept. I thihk its program files (x86) at least in Windows 10. Once you find it open it and locate the ARK file inside of it. It should go like this Steam--steamapps--Common--ARK. Once you get to the ark file open it and erase everything. Because even after you "uninstall it" the files are still there after uninstalling it. So after you erase it completely by the above steps than when you reinstall it its forced to put everything back from scratch. Not sure if this will fix your problem but it worked with mine. Good luck.
