Question: Good DSL Modem/Router for games like ARK.
Hello, I have a question for those who host an ark server, and have the knowledge for DSL modem/route.

I live in Canada BC, and I just switched from a provider to a well-known provider called Telus. Telus has been around for years way before I was even born, they are one of the telephone companies that started out and still use DSL and not cable.now I know many would probably say a lot about DSL being old and stuff however, I have noticed a good difference in browsing since I switched compared to my old provided I was only getting 512KB upload speed so playing with friends and hosting was slow and lag. I now get 3.071MB upload speed and 26.247MB Download speed. I don't care much how I get the internet just as long as I can run a server with far quality.

Now for the big question now that I got all that out of the way. Dose anyone know of a good quality DSL modem/router or just modem that I can set up a server fast with no hassle. I used to use a TP-Link Router for my port forwarding it is a TP-Link N750 (TL-WDR4300) I love TP-Links layout and little help windows and notes, it helps me figure stuff out and I would not mind a modem from them, but I had a DLink before they are just terrible for router I did not have good experience the thing lasted like three years then died ran in to all kinds of problems plus you were restricted to how many ports you can forward, I need something I can port forward many ports as I host a website, and a Minecraft server. Anyhow,

Basic things I am looking for.

1. Unlimited Ports
2. Easy to set up for servers.
3. DSL (Phone Jack)
4. Wireless if it's a Router / Modem.
5. A price range between $20.00 and $100.00

I've personally used an AVM FtrizBox 7390 for about 4 years.

Best feature in my view is 3G backup in the event DSL goes down and it will switch automatically. Great interface, easy to setup, simple port forwarding, and has every other feature you'd need including using it for DECT/VOIP which we do at home.

We also run it as a USB print server, Netflix streamer, LAN and WLAN network. 7 systems coming off it, 4 on 1Gbit LAN, 3 on wireless.

Flawless imho.

Price in Canada, no idea. I doubt it will fit your range but don't skimp on this important hardware - it's a mistake I've made too many times.

Thank you for your reply.

It's not to much more, just a few questions about it thought, dose the modem support the English language? Many of the sites are in a language I am unfamiliar with and some Google images of the GUI are too. I just need to know before I consider it.
