Raw Prime Meat Tame not taming.
I play on a no-mods server and I recently knocked out a level 44 rex. Immediately a level 8 Argent flew nearby, so I put 6 rounds from an assault rifle into his head and found 2 prime meat about 20 feet away from the sleeping rex. As quickly as I could, I took the raw prime meat directly from the argy corpse and put it into the rex. This took about 10 seconds, prolly less. It said it had over 8 minutes to spoil after it was in the rex. I ran off and did a quick errand and when I came back, one of the primes was gone. I saw him eat the second one about 2 minutes later. The thing is the taming bar hadn't started, even after it had eaten the Raw Prime Meat. It still said to put food into him to start the taming process. This is the first time I've ever been able to put raw prime meat into a sleeping dino to start the taming process so I don't know if this is a bug or a feature of if I did something wrong. Any of you ARK experts know what happened and why?

Are you playing on official server?? Or some private??
I had this situation 2 times in my game history.

1. ) First couse i didnt saw prime spoiled and he was laying without food... After this -
Every time I tame, I always put prime in first slots and normal meat in last... In theory - this problem was solved but looks like it is still there... Always put 20 pices of normal meat. Prime spoil very fast and dino eat it fast. If you give him to much time after prime consumption you loose taming progess if he dont have normal meat in inventory.
2. ) Bug - even when i looked on him and he ad 20 primes inside, taming bar didnt move... I was furstrated but after another prime he was tamed... Some graphic bug...

If the prime was the last meat eaten and nothing else is in the inventory that message will appear immediately.

You should put standard meat in as well because the prime will always be eaten first.

Maybe it just eat the second prime, and then the taming bar goes back to zero because he didnt have any food left to eat. Next time leave some normal raw meat too with the prime (or many stack of prime if u can) so if the rex run out of prime, still have something on his inventory to eat or it will drop back to zero.

Actually, I put 50 raw meat in his inventory just before the argy showed up. So when I put the raw prime into the rex, it already had a bunch of raw meat inside.

Maybe some bug. Or as i told - this is still problem with meat priority.
I know this sound bad, but you can try to force feed it, let him awake and try to take it down again to see if it can help.
