The Center- from mod to official...how will it work??

I am currently playing the Center "mod", i love it, pity I play SP as it seems the perfect MP map!
My question is: what will happen when it will become offcial?
I guess the updates will come through the ARK devs then, what should I do? Do I have to start again from the "official" map or can I somehow migrate everything (my dinos, my base, my stuff) from the mod environment to the official?...or what?
I tried to look around but as I am very confused about it, it has been difficult to find a good search key.

Well what ever they do I hope they optomise and fix it first. I had to stop hosting it because it consdumed a full 16GB of memory.

When it becomes official, you'll see NEW official servers pop up with in the list with that map(and everybody and his brother will be joining them).

Your current server will not be converted. It will remain as it is. Only new official servers will be made with the Center map set.

If you're playing on one official server, you will -not- be able to move stuff from it to one of the new official center map servers. You'll have to start new.

I'm interested in this too, I play on an unofficial centre server. Hope nothing happens. I'm worried all updates to mod stop and only a full restart to the now official map would allow continued play

You control the Sp. You can choose whether to go to the new map or not, but if you do, your dinos/structures won't come.

My worry is that the "mod" won't be updated anymore as it will become official..

The owner of The Center said he will be taking the map off of the workshop shortly after the official map comes out. So you'll have to switch either way

Probably as long as the owner of the server has it enabled. Or SP then definitely yeah

Excuse me if i abuse of your patience, but I'm a bit of an "obelisk-noob",every time i touch an obelisk i delete my worlds...please correct me if I'm wrong: I take my dinos to an obelisk in the mod,upload them. Then start a new game in the "official" map (i guess with a new character),reach an obelisk and download the dinos which should then appear in the world (i have never done it).

I don't really know what language to use, to explain i don't care about servers, as I clearly stated multiple times I ONLY play SINGLEPLAYER;-)

Yep that's how it works. It should work from mod to mod, unless it's from a mod that alters the dinos and then you delete the mod. For example, if you have a mod for a better diversity of colors on dinos, you won't be able to transfer them if you delete that mod. They will disappear. But otherwise it should be fine.
