Underwater cave wiped by 3 alpha tribes

It seems to be impossible to "survive" as a solo player on official PVP servers. Ok, i took the cave where you can shoot from 3 sides into the water (death zone).

The alpha tribes are not fighting each other for dominance but forged an alliance against smaller tribes and solo players (seems to be the same on all offcial PVP servers). Basically you are slave to them or become wiped.

I had dozends of turrets of both kinds aiming into the water. The alpha tribes tried alone first but failed. Then all 3 started a combined attack as soon as they saw that i went offline (this feature is such a troll trash !). Ok together they owned around 50 perfect tame mosasaurs, sucked my turrets dry and bingo.

Now they killed the 2 Dodos i had in the cave and i am sad.

Is another cave better to defend ? I dont think so, tactical this one is the best.

Or another way to stand against the alpha trolls ? Raft is not working (2 rockets and BOOOM), land bases are even easier to take out, a few C4 pig drops and game over.

Any tips for me ?

In reality a solo survivor could trick & beat dump major tribes. But ARK is by far too small, they find you everywhere. Underwater is scanned in 20 minutes and also the island.

No way to hide.

The underwater caves have a x6 damage multiplier, but that means nothing as your turrets insta kill everything leaving the water... untill they run out of ammo.

Only a massive strike can wipe you out there (what happened to me), some random troublemakers stand no chance.

Hey space god, good tips ! I have some more :

- leave doors of bases and rafts open, that you have not in use. So there is no need to destroy them
- build vaults. It takes 26 rockets to open one. I noticed that even the alpha trolls are scared about the cost of no ensured loot quality result
- dont build turrets on your bases. They wont protect you but just aggro the alpha trolls. Better build them INSIDE your bases
- build only metal, stone is one shot for rockets. Alpha trolls are too lazy wiping big metal bases if not aggroed by insults in global chat
- the only pet you really need is a perfect tame ptera (so you need dodos for kibble). Why ? Can kill all wild dinos and most pets if skilled on damage only. Brings you, your sniper rifle, your rocket launcher and your C4 dodo bombs fast everywhere, e.g. above the alpha troll turrets.. muhahahaha
- Rex ? Yes yes very big, very cool and.... very slow. If the trolls spot you then you, your level 230 rex and all carried stuff is... dead

If you are asking about a giga, big green lizard, then you need to tranq to sleep, takes about 100ish tranq arrows (bring 300 just in case plus spare crossbow), then feed (remote use) several death tacos. Death tacos can be made to have -10,000 health per taco. Takes a few minutes to kill, but very stealthy! :)

I know on our official pvp server there is a rule about not building in caves or islands. Doing so will get your tribe wiped. Is that a ♥♥♥♥ move on part of the alpha tribe? yes and no. But it would be just as much of a ♥♥♥♥ move by blocking the spawns inside the cave.

Get to know the server rules before you start playing on it. You might not agree with them and should move on before you invest any time.

I know on my server the alpha are pretty nice. And there is very little conflict on the server, with several basic rules that are inforced by them. Its almost like they are too nice. Because it seems every other month somone will build on an island, or a cave, or block spawns. they will be told to move given a 24 hour warning. and they respond that they dont have to. Then they get wiped and wonder why they got wiped.

Indeed, the alpha alliance forbids building in caves... and doing poo into the grass... and talking to dodos.
What do they think they are, god ?

For what ? The silicia pearls, that you get much easier from the beaver dams ? The oil ? Or the stone ? Its just to live out their god complex, to have a reason using all these perfect tames in their pens.

I hope that WC will soon bring new defense features, the current ones are not working.

Face it, offical servers are broken and filled with trashy troll players that just want to greif. just abbandon ever trying to play offical, the map is to small and the game is built up so it is too easy to be raided offline.

What we need is removal of the structure HP penalty in caves, three times more HP to all structures in general, unlimited autoturret ammo and tripple turret damage, 20x against dinos.

This would make ARK playable again.

Map size and limits to offline raiding do not solve the alpha tribe issue.

If you present limits to offline raiding, then you will have trolls drop foundations all over the place and log out to block spawns, which are now that much harder to remove.

If you make bigger maps all that does is make it take longer to find you, you're still not any safer.
