Was it because I had to move away for a few seconds to reapply bugspray? Was it because it "sensed" me, didn't attack, but moved around a bit before settling down again?
Each time I backed away, waiting for the bar to go all the way back down to 0, then restarted the tame. Frustrating but it worked at least.
Ok so what did you do differently for the tames that succeeded? Just not move away? Mine never aggroed or moved but I did move away to apply bug spray... Also I noticed some times when I chatted in global that the e key to feed it rotten meat wouldn't work so II would have to take the stack out of the hot bar and put it back in for it to start working again
Good news! Because I plan to try again after work
I literally would move away for 5-10 mins. Let the taming drop down completely and then restart over from scratch. Sometimes I had to do this 2 or 3x on the same centipede before it worked and stopping dropping. Highest one I got: 44, ended up dying to crocs as I was leading it out. Good times...
