Arthropleura rotten meat taming bug
I noticed a similar bug as to what plagued the mantas on the x 1 servers (normal tame speed).

If you want to try taming them with rotten meat, it takes a lot longer but also somewhere after halfway tamed the hunger meter stops filling. Each piece of rotten meat you give will bump the tame bar but it will also start to drop in between feeds, to the point that you are fighting a losing battle and the tame slowly regresses.

Anyone else getting this?

Yep...Had the day off yesterday and went after this. I hate caves to begin with and it was a constant nightmare. I had 5 centipedes I was taming at one point throughout the day. Of the 5, I tamed 4 but 2 got killed. In 3 of the 5 tames, I had the taming bar start to go down. No idea why..

Was it because I had to move away for a few seconds to reapply bugspray? Was it because it "sensed" me, didn't attack, but moved around a bit before settling down again?

Each time I backed away, waiting for the bar to go all the way back down to 0, then restarted the tame. Frustrating but it worked at least.

Ok so what did you do differently for the tames that succeeded? Just not move away? Mine never aggroed or moved but I did move away to apply bug spray... Also I noticed some times when I chatted in global that the e key to feed it rotten meat wouldn't work so II would have to take the stack out of the hot bar and put it back in for it to start working again

Devs are already aware of it and a rep told me there will be a patch soon to fix it, probably the patch in an hour

I literally would move away for 5-10 mins. Let the taming drop down completely and then restart over from scratch. Sometimes I had to do this 2 or 3x on the same centipede before it worked and stopping dropping. Highest one I got: 44, ended up dying to crocs as I was leading it out. Good times...
