How to remove battleye?

i click play, then uninstall battle eye. Then I click yes to uninstall. Yet that does nothing, Battle eye is still on the computer. Is this some kind of juvenile trickery to make some people think it has uninstalled?
The fan setup server i'm using doesn't use battle eye, so if someone could tell me how to remove all traces of it, that would be nice.

You can remove it by deleting all of the files here:

steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Binaries\Win64\BattlEye

And here:

\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\BattlEye

And then doing

at the command prompt (run as administrator)

sc delete BEService

Then once game starts It will ask to insrtall again click no and click on do not show again

That'll be all you need to do, it'll be all gone then :)

LOL Battleye does not cause adds dude. LMAO. You should pay better attention to what sites you are on. You run a server and dont know how to uninstall software? Wow!!

Next update BE will be set to run on your server. So you might want to start now learning how to reverse that. Though I dont know why you would. Oh wait a know a hacker got in here and said BE is a hack itself and even though a much bigger company has used it for 10yrs that hacker is the one being truthful. Cant wait to see you in here crying your server got hacked.

This removal method worked for me. BattleEye got annoying with it's false positive messages all the time. I only play on my personal private server so I don't need this annoyance.

Kibo, if you want to try it, click on your start button (or cortana if you use windows 10) and type "cmd". Right click on "Command Prompt" and click "Run as Administrator".

A black box will pop up, this is your command prompt. Type in "sc delete BEService" and press enter. This will end the service.

Did not work for me though. I get an error from Battleye saying "Failed to read initialization file" and I can no longer run Ark. I think I will just uninstall and reinstall, and see if that fixes it.

Hey guys, I wrote a .bat file that will automate deleting the batteye service; its nothing major just a script that executes the '' sc delete BEservice'' command.

Sorry to necro this, but being as this a free weekend for this game, thought this might still be applicable for a lot of people. I begrudgingly installed it to try ARK, only to find it wouldn't uninstall either. The uninstaller was looking for an old Arma 2 directory. So of course that left all the files and more importantly the service, sitting there. I certainly don't want to leave old kernel drivers laying around without cleaning them up...These instructions worked like a charm, much appreciated!

Battleeye is what ARK uses.
I actually like when someone posts her, as it reminds me of normal maintenance tasks when moving ARK to a new computer.
