here is how to fix it: go to ...\Steam\SteamApps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
open
engine.ini
change
r.simpledynamiclighting=1
to
r.simpledynamiclighting=0
at least the game now starts for me again, hope this helped
if the line is not there, just insert
[/script/engine.renderersettings]
and then
r.simpledynamiclighting=0
Path../../../../script/engine.renderersettings
so where do i put in
r.simpledynamiclighting=0
[Core.System]
Paths=../../../Engine/Content
Paths=../../../ShooterGame/Content
Paths=../../../Engine/Plugins/Experimental/CharacterAI/Content
Paths=../../../Engine/Plugins/TrueSkyPlugin/Content
Paths=../../../script/engine.renderersettings
whatever......i hate the verifing crap steam have to offer it doesn't fix my problem.
I tried reseting the time conversion and had it on super low memory and yes I can play it on epic settings so its not my specs
mine looks like
Paths=../../../Engine/Content
Paths=../../../ShooterGame/Content
Paths=../../../Engine/Plugins/Experimental/CharacterAI/Content
Paths=../../../Engine/Plugins/TrueSkyPlugin/Content
should i put it like this Path../../../../script/engine.renderersettings
and then r.simpledynamiclighting=0
[/script/engine.renderersettings]
r.simpledynamiclighting=0
still got the kernel crash after
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZwl1uR-NWw
