Arthropleura is bigger than Titanoboa...
...and is rideable - is it time to increase the size of the prehistoric snake?

I've found a bunch in central cave, not sure if it can get out though.

They cannot get out of the lower parts of central cave, I tamed a 108 and its stuck there until our helpful admin teleports it out for me.

I haven't actually found it, I'm not playing again until release - but i'm still following the development and would love to see that snake as big as it should be and as a personal preferance - without the frill.

It was my understanding that the devs didnt want to make it bigger/rideable because of performance issues - but now that we've seen a similar creature rideable - is this still the case? and would having less, much larger titanoboa improve performance?

no? not really.. Athoro IRL was about 2.5 - 5 meters long Titanboa IRL was about 12 - 15ish meters long and weighed in at a ton or two and it primarily ate fish... remember ARK devs made their own sub species...

just seems kind of mundane to have a snake in a dinosaur game that is no bigger than snakes you can find today... What makes it special? slapping a dilo frill on it?

The fact that it's venomous.

Agree with OP. Titanoboa should be Harry Potter Basilisk sized!

a venomous boa... how creative. sorry but when reality is more exciting than the fiction you've created - you're doing it wrong.
