With what HarvestAmountMultiplier do you guys play?
We are 2 guys playing on a private server and vanilla seems like impossible.

We play with the multiplier at 2.0 right now, but I still need to farm a lot to get up a building. I watched some videos on youtube and there are people pullin up whole castles and huge enclosures for dinos and I need soo long for just a few stone walls...

I do understand that usually this game is for whole clans playing together, but we don't have any more friends who play Ark and actually don't want to make new ones (trust issues lel)..

Any advice?

HarvestAmountMultiplier=5

This gives you a very healthy boost in gather/harvesting speed.

If you go any higher, you ALWAYS get encumbered from one tree/rock etc..

Same goes for greenhouse stuff..

A single greenhouse ceiling needs 35 Crystals and I got 29 by looting a whole cafe (which is 3-4 times flying into it, because my Ptera can't carry more) and that is already double the amount than vanilla..

Unless you enjoy grinding, I would up most of them to about 5x but keep in mind what your wright limit is. You do not want to become immobile just from one whack of on a rock. I would say adjust to to where you feel comfortable. I have found that I enjoy the game much more when I am not grinding on basic building components all day. There is enough grinding as there is in combining all the basic stuff into usable stuff, I do not need to grind on the resources too. I have also increased how quickly everything comes back so one project does not leave me clearing half the island. In the end, you will just have to find a level that is comfortable for the two of you.

Dude oh my gawd, you have the exact same game tag like the guy I'm playing Ark with. Rather creepy if you ask me.

Back to the topic: Doesn't a Multiplier of 5 sound a bit high? How many players are you playing with? Idk :/

Yes I put the ResourcesRespawnPeriodMultiplier down to 0.5, because I don't really like the area around my base being totally bald.
I just thought that I'm doing something wrong, after all you don't usually have to set the harvest amount 5 times higher than vanilla in other games. Is this 'supposed' to be hours of farming?
Because then I'd totally up the Amount to at least 3.5!

It's not measured in hours. It's an exact multiple of whatever the base gather levels are for the said resource/said harvesting method.

So HarvestAmountMultiplier=2 would double the amount of any resource you gather.
A good way to test this is to pick up rocks from the ground. A 2X multiplier will give you two stone for every one you pick up.

Oh I certainly understood that lol, I was asking if the game itself was supposed to be hours of farming xD
