Is there a setting/command to remove the sunlight shadows that makes everything black?

Example:

In the first screenshot the walls are perfectly fine but turning around they are just black and annoying which is because of the sunlight.

is there a way to remove this so theres no ugly shadows that cast cause of the sun? I want to look at my building with it all like in screenshot one

this sounds like a really old post but yea there are some gamma commands you can try or adjust the contrast on your monitor/video card settings.

gamma does not change the shadows at all.
