Agree, we need something like fishing with a fishing rod to spend our time a little... While we wait for a T-Rex or Giga to come from behind and grab our fish... and ourself :)

I'm an avid fisherman IRL. I'm fine with sticking coel with a spear, if I want to fish I'll go play fishing planet, which is 10x better than any attempt the Ark devs could make to squeeze it in. Just my $0.02.

I was thinking this the other day, maybe the ability to build an actual fishing vessel where we throw big nets into the ocean, aswell as catching fish we also have the chance of collecting long lost gold/treasure

They were asked this on one of the Digests and I remember them saying there will be no fishing. Only the spear fishing that you can do now. Who knows though, they may change their minds.
