about direbear spawn location

I've been looking for hours for a decent direbear and after going around the island many many times killing all the low level ones with my quetz I belive I have noticed something a pattern :

Most of the direbears I've found were either near a gigantopethicus (the ape) or in a location where I remember having seen a gigantopethicus before.

Did anyone else notice the same or is it just a coincidence ?

They seem to share spawn points with Phioma.

Try looking on craggs island and the southern jungle... I live there and have seen many many bears every day since the update
