Unable to query server info for invite?

After 6 months, I have come back to play this game, but it doesn't work for me. When I try finding servers on the official servers, there's no result. I tried the method of finding servers manually in Steam, but when I connect, it keeps saying,"Unable to query server info for invite" everytime I try joining an official server. I searched through many forums, but it didn't work out. I tried looking through my firewall, but it was already allowed access to. I tried the reset with the cmd, but nothing happened. Please give me the solution to this problem. My computer runs around 8 fps only when I'm playing on single player, so I have to go to multiplayer, which has better fps, but not working for me atm.

Ohhh dear god....I've been trying to get on my friend's server for days...I've dug through countless forums...tried messing with ports, messing with my router, waited for updates, and done countless other things. I was about ready to give up...and then I happen to see your simpe little solution and I gave it a try...and I'm in.

After a long time i found a fix for this.
In my case i had a server half a year ago and it was still installed and had mods on it. i returned to it today and couldn't find it in the server list, it was in the steam server browser but came with the error "unable to query server info for invite" to fix this install ark open it once to load the mods. after that follow these steps
1. Open your ark mods folder. mines placed here "E:\arkserver\ShooterGame\Content\Mods"
2. Delete all the mods (will be replaced soon)
3. copy all your mods from your games folder "E:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Content\Mods"
4. make sure the mods are in your servers gameusersettings found here: "E:\arkserver\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsServer"

Example : ActiveMods=111111111,510590313,533828549,558651608,609425335,621154190,633215081
ActiveMapMod=0

5. now it should be on the server list and joinable.

IF this dosent work. then it can be one of these issues:
Your game version thats not up to date
Your servers version that isnt up to date
Your routers ports arent open or your ip has changed
Your firewall is blocking the ports
your game data is corrupted and has files missing.

I hope this solves it for anyone in the future

be sure to openup a portforwarding port and firewall port? if that wont help idk either

ok im at version 242.2 and im having this problem i also noticed that when i get into the main menu i dont have any update info on the right side of the screen i can plat local but will not even find servers in sessions

I had this problem and only recently figured it out. I had a server a while back but abandoned it. I recently got a new server but couldn't connect because of the "unable to query..." error. I had my launch options for ark set to auto connect to my old server ip. Once I updated it to my new server ip, it started to work.
To do this you go to your steam library -> right-click ark ->properties ->let launch options ->enter "+connect 'server-IP':'port'" and you're all set. Hopefully this helps someone.

I wanted to try that whole " netsh winsock reset" thing, but I don't get the option to run as admin..

This issue is a continuous problem for me and I think in my situation it is caused by the network I'm on. When I'm at home, it's fine, when I take my laptop to work, I get this issue. I find that setting a +connect setting in the launch options to the ip of the server can force it to connect. I get the ip of the server by using battlemetrics and then add the IP after the +connect command eg;
+connect 193.111.136.254:7877
It still sometimes takes 1-10 attempts to connect but it does work eventually.

I host a server, and i just found out one of the potential problems. Whenever they kick out a new update, whomever is running the server needs to update the server itself to the new update. So if you are up-to-date, and the server is not, this will occur.
