i am curious why?
That's a good option. Does not hurt to have options that increase game functionality, especially such a small one as an On/Off switch.

Nice to know someone is looking out for ARKs Carbon Footprint.

But why? Whats the reason?

But anyway, what you could do is have a separate generator for the AC's. Turn off the generator, the AC's turn off

Put only air conditioners with a single generator and turn it on/off from there.

It makes noise. And the generator is worst. That's why my generator is far, far away from my bed. Seriously. When Cooler Master will come and do something ?

I cant have separate generators for each AC's if u wanna have 20 AC's to hatch a Giga, cuz once u place an outlet, it will attach to all nearby AC's, and so...

it makes sense to have a on/ff switch , because dino eggs need different temp, and we dont want to make a hatchery for every temperature, right?
25 AC's will hatch any dino, in any temp.

while this makes sense in real life, ARK's AC's do both at the same time: they make the temp hotter and colder at the same time. meaning you can hatch a giga egg in the same room you can hatch an quetz egg (giga egg requires highest temp, quetz lowest temp)

Maybe closer to release but currently their is no single need for it

This. There is no downside to having too many AC's besides the small amount of noise they make

Can't think of an egg I wanted hatched bad enough to build 25 AC's.

Well, besides the wasted resources unless you have a truly massive egg farm in either the hottest or coldest part of the island.

I hatched a few quetz in a hot biome with 9 AC's. I can't imagine you need more for a giga

What does that have anything to do with an on/off switch?

Ac does both hot an cold. The only difference from ac to a normal heater is, ac can go both ways. In real life ac would be adjusted automatically to the temp that it is set at. The ac's in Ark do just that. Only without the need to set a certain temp.

If you are seeing differences in temps in a large room with ac's installed, then they are not close enough together and/or there aren't enough for the space.
Yes please, this - the noise they make is such an annoying, constant drone. Maybe the S+ mod dev will come out with an AC option like his silent generator and fabricator, which would be even better, but man... what I wouldn't give in the meantime for an off switch.
