Manta Ray Review
Hi. This is my review on the manta ray. when I first saw that it came out the other day, I was so excited since this was one of the dinosaurs that I wanted. It looked awesome and majestic. I honestly didn't expect the manta ray to have a saddle. I thought it was gonna be bare back like what I saw on the dossier but I thought it looked really neat to do a manta ray race like there was in that spotlight video. but I'd like to get to the possetives and the negatives of this dinosaur.

Possetives: Very fast in the water, I love the fact that you can get the manta ray to jump out of the water like a real life manta ray as if I'm flying on it. they are easy to find like it's easy to find an icthyosaurus. I thought the colors were spot on amazing and beautiful. every detail that was into the manta ray was amazing and outstnding! I even saw a group of mantas attacking a fleeing parasaur so that was pretty interesting.

Negatives: it dies easily. When I went to take one of my mantas out to test it out, as soon as it got close to shore, it took damage like crazy and I almost lost the manta ray. I just tamed another one, and it died instantly cause it jumped out of the water off of my mossasaurus's tail. not only this dinosaur is amazingly fast, it's very fragile and I would be very cautious when handling a manta ray. so if I was a developer, I'd get that fixed cause it shouldn't die so easily like that.

I'm going to give the manta ray 3.5/5 stars. reason for that is because of how fragile it is. if it could handle about it being able to jump out of the water without dying like that, I would've given the manta ray 4/5 stars.

Thank you for reading my review on the manta ray! have a nice day. ^^

I found your review very thoughtful in all aspects, i dont have one yet myself so thought id read this. since it is such a small creature and almost like real life i understand they are prob more fragile then the average dino. Either way i am happy to see them add more water creatures.

Best.
I am hoping the crazy amount of damage during exposure to the air is going to be looked at and adjusted. I can understand it as a disincentive to jump out of the water too long, which is fine, as long as they also make it so it won't have this problem if it gets the tiniest bit too close to the shore.

it is way too easy for them to die. Was tyring to tame two of them. They both suicided on my boat's ramps while taming.

Also had one tamed, died by accidentally going onto land as they are fast and hard to handle. Right now, I give them 2/5. The dying thing handled and i agree with 4/5

Maybe 10-20 seconds to get back to the water before the dmg starts?

My guess is that the visual water surface we see is higher than what the game recognizes as part of the water. This also may be why people can see to the bottom of the ocean if they float with their head just under the surface. The game doesn;t realize we are under water yet. For the Manta's this can be an issue because what is shallow water to us may actualy be that space between the visual water and what the game recognizes as water.

Easy to heal them with raw meat which is good, melee is insane if you hit and run things. Wiped out 8 megalodons in a swarm with it, just hit from above and swim around you don't get hit much. Got a 112 atm and it's melee is higher than my other 4, 280%. But yes they are too fragile and stupidly aggressive, my apprentice flak is destroyed in 3-4 hits. Trap them in a 2x2 stone foundation in head height water w/ a stone dino gate, add a few doors and maybe ceilings and you've got good access to it. It'll attack the foundations but you can still tame it even when aggro'd. Good luck to anyone getting one.
Don't tame one in scuba gear, it'll get wrecked in seconds with no armor stats. Scuba/ flak combo if anything.
