I'm not asking to remove it completely, just a whistle command to tell a dino to not look.
But @Devs if you ever read this post I agree with the op about the command to forbid tail swipe and head follow, it's pretty anoying.
Also dinos don't look at each other they follow the player with their heads and often push you around by doing so just like with their tails and it's SOOO annoying.
A petition may not be the best way, but it's a good way to collect the opinions wanting this idea from other websites and forums. This way, we can all share our idea in one place.
it's not rubber banding as it happens also in SP, and it's not about realistic strenght allowing the dino to push the player around with it's tail/head, it's not about removing existing features at all.
It's adding a new whistle or command on the wheel that allows the player to ask it's dino to freeze any movement (tail/head) It would even be ok if the command had a timer and didn't last more than 30 seconds or so it's just to be able to walk around them or transfer items from your dino to a chest without having your dino push you out of range with it's head.
personally id love to have it removed completely myself
Well I would too but it's true that without those movements they would look pretty unrealistic, like statues so I think many people would be unhappy with that change.
Of course, we still have to deal with following dinos getting their heads stuck inside ridden dinos and bringing everything to a screeching halt. If they haven't bothered to fix that yet...
EDIT: "
Of course, we still have to deal with following dinos getting their heads stuck inside ridden dinos and bringing everything to a screeching halt. If they haven't bothered to fix that yet... " also we could have a follow distance property as well. that can be changed with admin/server commands to keep following dinos slightly further away
oops I completely missed that part. Yes I agree a command would be a nifty feature.
But sure, if you want it as an *option*, I don't care. For mine, while they act like animals I treat them like animals and we get along just fine.
