Where are the Dire Bears?!?

Since the 20th i was head over heals to go find a dire bear but was unable to find the saddle for it or the manta two days after i was able to find it yet still no dire bears. I thought it might of been my mods of something. i used the command kill all wild dinos. i have even started a whole new non dedicated. i have only been able to find mantas. there are alot of phiomias but not a single Dire Bear. Can anyone offer assistance? Please let me know because im scared to make any more progress if the problem is my non dedicated server

You can find bears in the forest covered hills all over the southern half of the map. They are not the most common creatures so you only will see couple in a given area. They tend to be solitary and will only aggro if you get very close. Check the wiki map for direbears.

I spent 2 hours flying all over the map and didn't see any. Went all over the southern part of the map. Which doesn't jive with the wiki stating that they like cold climates. Nothing. Maybe my dino level 240 mod doesn't play well with it.

I have visited every place it says it should be and hrs on end all I c is phiomias and things and ghost861 I don't have Tht mod running on my server. It's just doesn't makes sense. If the manta wasent showing I would understand but it's in every part it says it is.

After I reset spawns, I found like 5 of them all around the central islet area that's in between all the rivers by the black sand beach. My lucky ass even found a 120 that I grabbed and brought to my taming pen. :D Just look in the Southern Islets section of the map, the wiki says they're the most common there.

Look near the area with the green obelisk, in the south forest that isn't the swamp. I found three there, it's a great way to harvest pelts for people who don't live in the snow.

you may have to wait awhile depending on how long the server has been running the patch, we didnt see any for the first 24 hours and now they are everywhere

Around the lake on the centre island seems to be a good place.

South of map kill all the phiomia's you see and that should help them start to spawn

Part of the problem is flying. Every bear I've seen is deep in the forests so you may not see them from a bird. I've run across a couple dozen moving around the island on the ground. They blend in pretty well to the landscape and ground cover, so try wandering in the forests a bit instead of flying around.

I have seen them in the fields and the beaches, just look for something that looks like a slightly bigger Phiomia with fur.

I have found about 7 two in smugglers pass and Te rest by the lake in the middle of the map.

Went through 3 full game days, 2 nights, 7 fogs and lost a life and some JM/MC gear when I dumbassed and stepped off the Quetz platform in the darkest of nights. Gave up, decided bears were stupid.

Went for a Quetz hunt on my Ptera next day, parked for stamina in some random place and hello.... a bear.

Moral of this story. Stop looking.

Still nothing guys I've taken the ground as well as flying as well as taking out mods Tht would otherwise corrupt land Dino's. I've take out the mods and everything but for some reason their still there. Unless the mods sort out and hopefully the bear is seen the only way I'll be seeing a bear will be on the Xbox one when the update comes threw :/. I've been on every mountain all around the red obelisk where the wiki has said the Bears are common which I should of seen at least 2 but I've given up on flying over and searching and gone only on the ground I've checked everywhere Tht is not snow and this past Hr has been searching it and once again I'm stuck with not a single bear And if anybody knows if the naturawildlife and all the Dino color mods would effect the Bears spawn. I've reset it it again and killed all wild Dino's and waited for them to spawn and search again. Today I'm going to search again unless one of these mods are the cause of this
