I think they sometimes bug out.
yeah The reason i got to knock it out was because it was stuck ,
I will have to try it with the spyglass , I flew my snow owl up their and whistled follow me but it still didnt work . Worst comes to worst i will have to tame a quetz and try get it.
he gave up on it . later that day i go into snow biom and spot it , humm... why leave a bird out here. then i see its a mana .
go back to base get a saddle and head out with an argy . parachut off it and grapple to argy over mana , took about 30min in all to get saddle on it and mount it . dropped it off at his base . lesson learned , good luck getting your easy tame . now everytime i see one stuck i just bump into it to unstuck it or kill it if low level .
quetz will be the easy way to get it . good luck .

Your solution for this is to count your tranqs. Say you have a 90 that needs 18 tranqs, hit it 17 times then fly above it and give it a love tap with your argy or snow owl melee, this will make it drift downward. Wait for it to land, fire as it does, 18th tranq does its job, one knocked mana safely on the ground.
