alpha and beta king titans [spoilers]

my understanding was that beta is pretty much the same as gamma but alpha is tek and the real king and beating him is the end of the story. but, i just beat beta and got the end of the story and he didn't drop the trophy i need for alpha (got the MOMI and the flag just fine)?! random/known bug? alpha disabled for some reason? i've just finished the game and fighting alpha would serve no purpose other than just bragging rights?

Did you have it on you when the end triggered?
The head can not be transfered server, so if you triggered the end and the head is on you. It gets deleted. Make sure you put the head on a dino before you ascend.

This also happens in gamma...So you should of noticed that when you did gamma

Also there is an 'extra' ending when you beat alpha and an extra 'boss' explorer note unlock.
Alpha is easyesr then Beta and Gamma if you are using 2-3 mega meks

nope, i had no issues at all with the gamma trophy since there was no ascention/ending after beating gamma (i just stayed in the arena after beating him) and my understanding of your response is that waking up from ascention (same as transfer mechanic) is the culprit.

pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ move on WCs part too, i was already pissed with trophy transfer restrictions on SE and now we have a worse case. what possible advantage would you get over others if you could transmit a manticore head to another ark? plan was to have 1 home ark (island) and have a tribe temple full of all the trophies and artifacts collected throughout the story... guess that was too much to ask for :/

Awesome, some good news, i am happy with a 2 stage ending :)

Thanks for all that info @Natjur, i'll be sure to stash stuff that disappears into a dino next time, that might save my leftover element too. as i mentioned, i had no issues with gamma (kept my spare element too) so didn't expect any of this to happen.

There is an ascention/ending after gamma (and beta but it the same) and Alpha which is mostly the same but has an extra part at the end. (and you get new cool skin unlocks)

But you can miss the ascention/ending, if you do not stand in the right spot and it sounds like you missed it when you did gamma. Any 'non allowed' transfer items get auto deleted if they are on you (element, trophy's etc) when you ascend.

(We had do gamma twice since we lost the first head when we ascended)
You have to move your element and trophy's and the heads to a dino first as I said above.

Once you get Mega Meks for the Alpha boss, its fun! (2-3 mega meks makes the Alpha a joke!) The M.O.M.I. module appears to only drop from the Beta King Titan. We have yet to find then from purple drops or any non-king titan kill

well, you sound pretty sure of yourself and i just reviewed the ending of my gamma fight (i kept my element and no cinematics but all the rewards) so this is getting really confusing now. i'll upload the gamma ending once my current upload finishes.

also reviewed the beta ending and i had just picked it up when the ending triggered, just needed a few more seconds to put it in a dino with the rest of the loot :( wasted a bit of time with the dermis efforts, is it even possible to get a dermis from any of the kings?

The rewards come from the terminal that drops/spawns at the end, but that is not always the ascension point (the place you have to stand and get 'ascended' from).

That king titan area is large, but the exact ascension point is small, and we have had a few player miss it when we do the king titan and not standing in the right spot at the exact time of ascension. You only have 30 seconds to loot and then get to the right spot.

is the right spot the rings of light moving up?

that was around the artifact with the rewards and it seems with gamma, i moved out of it to stash the king's head in a dino lol. but was still in the "shimmering?".

nvm, vids say it must be, that's where i was standing with beta and ascended. back to gamma i go i guess :/
