What are diplos even for?

Are they only good for kibble, or is there a reason they seem so damn useless?

You can put a saddle on them and transport up to 10 people on them at once, but I still think its better to take a few birds instead

If their spit hits something, it slows down by 50% for 10 seconds, I believe. That can be useful in some situations, especially if you have more than one. Just level them up in health, and a little in speed. If you want to kite a fast dino, a pair of dilos can be a disposable helper. Also they are very useful body guards when you are very low level. <Edit OOPS, I thought he said dilos. Dilophosaurus, Dimorphodon, Dimetrodon, Diplodocus, there's too many dinos that start with "di" !!>

i believe they have a decent carry weight, and some nice speed, way better than a stego as far as transport goes, though it does lack the defense one would have

All those times you need a whole bunch of people to move together at an almost imperceptibly slow rate, regularly getting caught on random trees and rocks, towards a destination you could walk to in a tenth of the time!

You guys are fking crazy man. Get your Diplo, get the saddle, then get everyone in your tribe to make narco/anything while you sit on it and soak up the exp. Try to max out the Diplo, then proceed to put another 150-200% speed on it then focus on weight and hp. It will outrun anything on the ground except speed tamed gallimimus and other very fast speed tamed land dino's and outswim anything except speed tamed creatures in the water.

Diplo is awesome if you guys all need to move bases quickly, they can carry lots of weight so if you had like 10 tribe members get 10 diplos together fill their inventorys with the stuff you need then roll out like some bats outta hell.

Diplo is basically a giant bus. I only see uses for it in PvE for roleplaying. For anything I could use a Diplo for there's something else I would much rather use instead.
