Anything you put together now to run "just for ark" would be a waste of time. There isn't even DX12 support yet (though it's on the way) which is reported to give a 20% performance boost.
Any quadcore 2.8ghz or higher
8gb of ram - ark can actually use more so ill call this the low/mid end
A hard drive of 200gb or more, ark takes a average of 60gb with mods and maps, But the downloads are weird, they take your ark folder x2 the size, so if your ark is 60gb youll want another 60gb of free space to make the downloads faster when they install. A ssd would be much better when playing ark but that costs more, faster load time.
Now for the expensive part, graphics card, ill recomend anything in the nvidia gtx 9xx series to play on this, or the nvidia gtx 10xx series to have the best performance. If your looking for a prebuilt system I sopose I could recomend https://www.cybertronpc.com since you can customize stuff and they have acceptable costumer service, but they are mostly amd builds, so im sure theirs better in other sites.
Look here OP. Would you waste hundreds of dollars just for one game? Are you a kid that wants to ask for a cheap PC + Ark for your birthday or something? Just buy an XBOne and get the game on that, for it is cheaper and runs better then what you'd be able to with a cheap PC on an unoptimized game. Like think about it this way. Is your family monetarily stable? Do you parents argue over cash frequently? If so then I'd recommend you wait untill you can pay for it yourself to avoid putting stress on your family's budget. Food is expensive as is paying off debt/for an appartment or paying back the bank for a home. Electrical and internet fees are also quite elevated. So your parents may not be able to cash out 600+ dollars for a bare-minimum PC that could run the game.
Get an i5 or i7 3ghz or faster. The faster the better.
Get a minimum of 8GB of ram, 16 would be better.
Get an NVidia x60 or better, minimum. So a 960 or 1060.
If you want AMD gpu then get a 470 or 480.
64 bit Windows 10.
You can also use a shop like, ncix com and use their build service of $50 to have it put together. They have both cdn and us site.
